been following! keep it up.
Looks really clean. Alot of love has gone into this ride! Will be updating a build on my 2013 675R, check it out when i get started on it!

WOOO HOOO MOTORCYCLES!

(i named my 08 Toothless too.. and the 2013 will take that role as my Dragon. thinking about Funjin! - old time Samuri God of Wind- )
Thanks for the kind words!

I'm currently chasing down an oil leak...only a couple drops left on the ground, but the inside of my fairings have a nice amount of oil... Thinking its a loose bolt on my clutch cover..

OR, the fact that I was in a hurry to get it back up to ride and reused my old cover gaskets.. so, I picked up a whole set of cover gaskets from the dealer today and am Gonna change those out tomorrow..clean it all up nice, brake clean and a brush and clean the engine as best I can..

Then next oil change i'm gonna drop the pan and replace the pan gasket...a whopping $68 and some change from the dealer..

But, it makes for an ideal time to send my Header out to T3RMIN@T0R to do my cat delete and new merge collector..

Either way, a friend took a pic of her with a couple CBR600RR's..

I know everyone loves pics :p

Just started following your post! Love how your Daytona is turning out. I just got my 2014 675R a few weeks ago! Keep up the good work and the pics. Ride safe out there!

Thanks man! I really appreciate it!!

She still has lots of work left to be really where I want it to be...but, it'll probably wait till next season or later down the road.

The only current things Im really going to do now are get my header sent out and get her on the dyno..

I've been hunting down a tiny oil leak for a day or so now, I thought it was the clutch cover gasket, but I'm going to replace a few other gaskets now, just waiting on parts to ship in from GB...

Lucky 3rd gen owners, their Pan Gasket is $15....first gen owners... $68 after tax from the dealer..

The nose is starting to fit better now that its been through some ambient engine heat and bolted up.. I still need to get some more OEM Hardware, I need a speed nut for the back of the CF Infill panel on one side to really make it fit right.. but..it's been a lot of work and time coming to get this far.

Im really happy other people are enjoying the build!

Next season I plan to tear it all apart again and THOROUGHLY go through the engine harness and clean up, shorten, reloom and find better mounting solutions for a lot of things. I saw thread's where guys have moved the relays to under the tank and it looks super clean! so..its on my list of things to do, but I'm not as ingenuitive as some of the other members

if you find you need some stock bolts hit me up, I have quite a few spares.. just not the large pan head ones for the fairings.

Thanks JD! I ended up just ordering one from the Stealership..

However! Update as to the next Project!

Between Co-Ordinating with James and Nathan, the Brembo Front and Rear Brake swap is underway..

P34 Rear Brembo Brake Arrived today! I'm working with Nathan on any potential clearance issues using the larger Brembo rear brake with his Bracket.

James was kind enough to provide me the specs for the Brake lines using the GSXR Brembo's.

I just need to source out the M10x1.25x70 bolts to mount up to the lower forks!

Pics upon more parts and installation!

Only have a few more issues to figure out..

One of which, TJ is telling me the OEM Daytona 675R Brembo MC isnt strong enough to push two separate lines to the GSXR Brembo calipers..

Also an Interesting post I found.
For reference, a buddy of mine has a 2011 675R, and he recently upgraded to an RCS m/c from the stock brembo m/c. He thought there was a huge difference there as well. So if your budget allows, I think it's better to spend $300 on the RCS (which can be used on virtually any modern sport bike and you can always resell for close to that) rather than $100+ for the stock brembo m/c from a 675R.

I like the caliper!

Will have my custom brake line in from coremotor on Saturday, once mounted up I will give you the dimensions if you like what you see.

Are you running Nathan's bracket with a stock rear brake master JD?

I do actually need the dimensions to send to Core Moto, I got the front specs from James, but need the order form for the rear.

That's hard to fathom since the Nissin MC seems to work great with these calipers. Does that mean the 675R's Brembo MC is weaker than the Nissin one from a standard 675?

Well, apparently the 675R Brembo MC isn't really a "brembo" MC...while it is, it's nothing like the Real RCS Unit, not the same amount of pressure or power as the legit RCS.

And I think It comes down to how the lines are being run, on the RCS I'll push one line to each caliper. the OEM 675R I believe, still uses a crossover. which takes less work to push.

Looky what I get to clean up and rebuilt!

They look like abstract art... they need some loving!
Dude I know it!!! hah. I'll start by just cleaning them up and see if they're actually bad inside or not.. hoping not. I still have to source my lines, pads and bolts before I can install....and my Master -_-

Just gets more and more expensive..

The MC not strong enough? it is fluid so as long as you squeeze pressure will be equalized to both calipers. I find it hard to believe that a brembo wouldnt be strong enough. The lines are not going to change how the brakes perform, only makes it more convenient in taking the wheels off.

And of course the 675R is not a top of the line brembo, they never do put that great of stuff on OEM bikes when it comes to Brembo, they are just slightly better than Nissin in most cases.

Well...it's been suggested to me that I get an RCS19..

And reading through threads it appears as though guys who have gone to it have felt huge braking improvements even over the OE Brembo.

The 675R master is indeed not as powerful and lacks the same feel of the RCS unit, but it is not exactly an ill performing unit. better than a nissin without a doubt.

As for brakelines, as TWW mentioned, there is no difference in if the master is pushing 2 lines from the master (which the stock 675R does with this master), 1 down to the caliper with a cross over from the caliper (stock 06-12 Daytona) or 1 line which splits with either a block or t-fitting later model abs bikes.

personally I prefer the 1 line from the master, that splits with a T at the lower triple with one line to each caliper. but this is just a cleaner look and as mentioned by TWW easier for pulling calipers/wheel.

As for the rear mount underslung kit... yes I am running this.
depending on your rearsets, 29" is a safe measurement.. 45 degree flat bend for the master and either a 20 or 45 degree flat bend at the caliper.
I am running a 30" line and if I move the rearsets back more the line will have to much slack IMO.

Well...got some work done today when I should've been sleeping..Im back on nights at work so I have about 2 hours to catch a power nap before I gotta head off to work.

Regardless! got the Brembo front's all cleaned up!!

Y'all saw the before shot of when I first got them and how nasty they were.. Combination of a drill and some wire wheel attachments, some brake clean, tire gunk cleaner and elbow grease..and.. well, I'll let the pics speak for themselves.

Im still thinking I'll paint the rear P34 to match the fronts now.

Products used were Gold Engine Enamel from Duplicolor and a high gloss acrylic clear coat.

I could've done a better job..but...eh.. Its what I had available to me, I was debating going Red on the Brembo lettering again but.. I still might.

Image

After wire wheeling and cleaning the shit out of them..

Taped up and the first couple coats of gold down (Trying to somewhat match the OE Nissins..I think their gold is more yellow)
Image

After some sanding of the "BREMBO" logo and some clear coat...this is the part I could've done better, I needed rougher sand paper to properly break down the paint..or to have masked it off, but I didnt have any razors I could find and didn't want to run to the store again.
Image

And here they all are...Still want to paint the rear to match.

Oh!! And here is my ACE Hardware Solution.

They look good!

I wish brembo had a matching back to the stock M4 brembo monoblocks on the Daytona... I have a gold caliper, but as it looks will be going to black.

Thanks JD! I just sent your specs on the rear line out to CoreMoto! Looks like its starting to come together!

Looked good post-cleanup and even better with the paint!
Thanks!!

Just sent a Message to TJ and e-mail to Ryan at CoreMoto to get the new RCS19 and Custom lines!
