StripleR right side indicator/blinker unplugged!! Can't reach it! :(

I was installing my new Evotech Radiator guard & whilst I had the radiator cowels off the right side decided to unplug itself, just off the little bit of weight on it from unscrewing the cowel!

I've tried pulling on them to get a bit of length on them but it's near impossible to reach them. Other than removing my tank AND airbox, I can't see how else I am going to reach them!

Really pissed off, as this is just a 5 minute job that has now turned in to a pain in the ass!!

Any help would be greatly appreciated! I think it's ridiculous that Triumph left them so short & inaccessible! The left side has plenty of length on it, hence why I thought it strange to be so short on the right side!!

I'm sure a few people have done indicator changeovers & no doubt would have encounted this problem as a result. Here's hoping there is an easy alternative to the lengthy removal of my tank/airbox!

Don't feel bad, I had the EXACT same thing happen to that same signal. Mine is still unhooked, since it's the least important of the 4 turn signals. I'll probably pull the tank, etc over the winter and fix it.

All better!! Pulled the tank & airbox over dinner & a couple of drinks! Now that I know how to do it, I could see it taking a lot less longer & without any breaks too.

On a side though, how stupid to make them so short! & even though I'm a sparky by trade & have all the tools readily available, I still didn't bother extending the cables. I'm never going to be disconnecting them very often, if at all, & if I had to get back in there, it isn't too much of a fuss - just that bloody fiddly fuel hose connection! :p

Thanks peeps!

Did you drain the tank? I need to attack this project in the near future.

No I understand that but you can't expect to tug on wires and not have something happen. I've sen people yank wires out of connectors that didn't think they were pulling hard too.
I could see that happening too. Anyway, I didn't even touch mine & even when putting them back in, the stock connectors are pretty average if you ask me! They don't have much bite on them at all, hence why they would come out so easily to begin with.

If it becomes a problem again, i'm sure i'll change it next time, for now though I just want to ride my bike! ;p
