The new clocks are much nicer than the orange things they're putting on the Street Triples.

 

Nice! I even looked at Triumphs site and they don't show that instrument panel. And I was on the UK site.

 

Bastards. Why didn't they put that on our "2010" SEs?

Trying to reset the trip odometer when you're riding is next to impossible. Those three little buttons suck incredibly. Like, put them in a more inaccessible spot,why don't ya?

also I would lock that bad boy up better. That one chain lock isn't doing to deter much.

I use a cycleshell, scorpio alarm, disc lock, chain that goes through cycleshell and front wheel, Lock on cycleshell. Just hate to see that beauty get nabbed.

Don`t worry, thats where she is parked when i`m in the house. She`s in the alarmed garage at night and when i`m out (not using the bike).

Replying to another post about the gear change lights:
They are across the top of the rev counter and are quite a bit brighter.

 

O i like thouse new clocks, i just can't remember what buttons to press to acess the features on the old ones, now i wonder if they will fit on a 2006 my, also what other changes are there on the 2010 my

Maybe your SE isn't a 2010 model?
Seriously, they were released in May '09. Did you really expect it to have all the '10 upgrades that early?

 

What does the shift lights look like?

 

Looks as though the Redline is now indicated as 15k (though most certainly an optimistic reading).

 

This is the first i've seen like this. The buttons look a hell of a lot easier to use, but i'm not i like the new display more then the old one. You should look at your VIN and see if you somehow got some kind of special bike since all the 09/10's i've seen so far have the original setup. Maybe it'll grow on my like the new SE's have been doing.

Looks like they moved the function controls from what I have on my '09. Man, you can get a cramp just resetting the darn trip mileage on mine.

 

I agree - it's such a pain in the a#% to reset!

 

I like the new digital display and anything to improve the ergonomics\usability would be great but I much prefer the original white dial (feels old school British imho).
I'm loving that can;-)

Love the gage cluster, but what is the round thing below the seat and right in front of the passenger foot peg???

I think if they'd put the buttons up the side, and the idiot lights along the bottom, included a proper fuel guage and made the shift lights brighter, they original 675 clocks would be PERFECT!

 

And an actual coolant temp (F/C) not just bars>

Good news for any street triple owner that might read this thread, Triumph are changing the new clocks on them to a grey colour as they have found out ppl don`t like the new colour.

It might be different in the US but here in england we have 2 new registration times. 1 in march and 1 in september. All the bikes prior to september including the SE model daytona were classed as an 09 model. Anything after september is classed as a 2010 model hence the new clocks.

my friend with the speed triple has a silly orange backlight on his clock. our 2010 SEs have the white back light. but i would MUCH rather have that bad ass clock. I dont feel so special edition anymore:itsok:

 

if i remember correctly, when they released the new model design, didn't they mention new cockpit design? if so, i guessing this is it
