Does anyone know a place to download the Haynes manual? I mean like if you can buy it as an ebook or something. I have no problem with buying it, I just lately have been moving all of my maintenance documents and stuff onto my Kindle because I'm a nerd and like the ability to easily search for words and whatnot.

From Haynes FAQ:
While the world is moving in an electronic way in most areas, there are times when it makes sense to do things by the established method. Using a manual while you are working on your vehicle remains a choice that many people prefer. However, Haynes has begun demonstrating an electronic version of our iconic Haynes Manual to our major retail accounts in the US. Haynes MOL (Manuals Online) will have the ability to reach a larger customer base. Once the initial prototype demonstrations are complete, Haynes will convert the top 50 selling manuals to the electronic format and will make them available for sale by subscription in the US by autumn 2011. Haynes will add further coverage as the conversion process continues. Haynes traditional printed product line will continue to be marketed aggressivley with an ongoing program of updates and new titles. Haynes MOL bring an extra dimension to the Haynes Group that will allow us to satisfy customers whether they prefer print or electronic delivery.

That sucks. If it's the traditional subscription model for manuals then it will not be one PDF but dozens and dozens of individual pieces that have no order unless you are on their site. This has been done for all major automobiles and is a great resource for repair shops but has very little use for the home mechanic.

Ah interesting, thanks SpaceLemur.

An electronic version I just find easier to use... I'd probably just have a "garage Kindle" or something for just that. By that point though I might just be at the point where I can have a cheap garage computer for looking up stuff if I had to with a nice and pivot-y arm.

...okay that got off topic fast, haha.
