Hey everyone, I've been looking at sport touring bikes for a little while, my top.choice would be a Sprint. outside of the Sprint maybe I'd buy a Honda vfr. I.really love my Daytona, but I commute eighty percent of the time and the rest is.split between long trips -4 hours or so, long by my back and arms standards- and.local two up riding. I definitely want to goto a sport.touring bike but don't want to lose that responsiveness, cornering and acceleration. I know the Sprint won't even sniff a Daytona around a track but on the street I'm only using 30%.of the Daytona potential anyway. has anyone rode a sportbike and a Sprint orsomething similar that could give me some expectation?

I had a 2009 Sprint ST 1050 that I got rear ended on last year. One of the best bikes I have ever owned. I would say it falls on more on the sport side of sport touring where as some of the larger 13-1400cc ST models are heavier and definitely more on the touring side.

If I was in the market for another bike, it would be high up on the list.

The sprint is an overall better value when you factor in that the sidebags are included in the base price, and they are options on the VFR (that's comparing to the VFR 800).

I've ridden both, the Sprint was the better package. My only gripe was the subpar-ride and seat which I've addressed with some racetech upgrades and an custom seat.

Checked out http://cycle-ergo.com/ and was very suprised about the ergo's of the striple vs daytona. The sprint even has more of a lean angle than the striple. Looks like a stop at my friendly local triumph dealer is a must to sit on all the bikes one after another to compare.
I would post my bike WTT for a sprint or striple but i feel like most guys go from a sportbike to a touring, not typically the other way around.. hmmm..

Booked a test ride at a triumph dealer on a sprint, never test drove a bike before, whats the deal? Leave a major credit card and your first born to ride around the parking lot, or can you take a bike for a half hour and really get a feel for it? i know my mileage my vary, but typically what have you guys encountered?
