Just to double check before I pull the trigger - front rotors from 2007-2012 will cross fit to any bike in that age range?

Post 297 from Mac Bandit would seem to indicate that, though it's in response to a question about wheels.

part numbers from Galfer and EBC are the same across that model range and support the cross fit

I just rebuilt the front Nissin calipers on my 12' STR using two of Suzuki part #59100-23820. One box contains everything needed to overhaul one caliper.

The Suzuki B-King parts are less expensive than the Triumph parts. They come with seals, and best of all...the pistons are aluminum with a slick coating.

My old steel pistons(all four from on caliper) weighed in at 250 grams...

The Suzuki B-King aluminum pistons weighed in at 84 grams.

Here they are mounted in on half of the caliper...

I also ordered Suzuki B-King brake pad pins but they haven't arrived yet. I do know the B-King pins are longer and don't have the holes in them for a mini hitch pin like my Street Triple has, but it should be easy enough to drill a hole in them. They are way less expensive than the triumph pins!
I got my parts through a friend, but http://www.hondaeasttoledo.net/index.htm has good prices on Suzuki stuff.

Going to Necro bump this thread...because its not worth starting another one for 1 single question.

Are all Daytona Rear brake calipers/mounts interchangable?

Could I run a 13+ Brembo Rear brake on my '06 and be plug and play for the most part?

1) Personally, I'd rather have one thread with all this info than ten. In short, I like necro.

2) The swingarm is different on the 13,so I would be very surprised if the brake mounting is the same.

Get one off eBay and try it. I know the caliper isn't going to bolt up to the old or standard carrier but it's possible that maybe the carrier will work on the old swing arm.

Barring that we have a member making an undertaking bracket for Brembo calipers for the older models.

would those piston kits work with the '06 daytona nissin? cant seem to figure out if the sizing is correct.

guys, be careful with aluminium brake pistons, they tend to react bad when heating (compared to steel ones)

a lot of guys with Honda CBR had to change them to steel pistons because the aluminium ones would expand too much when heating and brakes would never be fully released, causing brakes overheating and blocking front wheel

brakes are not something you'd want to mess with

what caliper rebuild kit would you suggest then for the 06 nissin?

unfortunately, Triumph has asked Nissin to produce pistons seals with different specs than the original Nissin seals (I believe they wanted the pistons not to come back too far away from the brake rotors)

we had many people here who tried to purchase Nissin maintenance kit (the one from Nissin) and had brake fluid leaks

the only safe option is to buy the seals kit from Triumph (they are pricey: about 70 euros per caliper)

regarding pistons, if yours are really too corroded, it's probably cheaper to buy a pair of used callipers from craiglist or salvage
a good cleanup of pistons with triple zero iron wool and they come as new

so would a kit like this not be to spec?

i may just look into switching to the monobloc r6 calipers since the price wouldn't be all that different.
