Did you get the standard version or the hig mount version of the D-3 tidy tail?
I got the standard one
Instructions were OK but could be better
Kit is well made as sturdy
Took me about 45 minutes to put on, but I also took my time and put my clear taillight on at sametime

D3 Tail Tidy Installed

Remove panels:

Remove bottom piece under tail:

Remove tail bolts:

Disconnect blinkers, light and sensor wires:

Unbolt tail to remove wires to blinkers:

Install blinkers:

Reconnect everything:

Rebolt on bottom:

Enjoy:

So this wasn't today, but over the last week I've installed my D675 rear shock, installed a black billet gear actuator, and mounted my Nexus 7 tablet to use with the Torque app.

 

Liking the D3 tidy, must get one myself.

 

What's the D675 shock like then?

 

I'd guess it's similar to your R shock, except that the spring is much stiffer. I just got a softer replacement spring from Racetech that I'll install when I get back into town in a week and a half.

 

I installed GBracing protection parts and evotech radiator guard.

 

Bike had its first service today and the dealer fitted the Triumph hugger for me. Service cost £65 which is approx $101.

 

100 miles today. Woot. Not my longest ride, but good for just hopping on and riding around with no plan.

 

Brought her home after 6 Weeks of waiting. Started with only 5.7 miles on her but had to fix that... So, I added another 60. Also got really lucky during purchase. Turns out another fella wanted the white one I ordered so much he was willing to pay me $500 to buy a red one instead! DEAL! On top of that the dealer had another guy dislike a 3-1 arrow. So I picked it for only $700 with less than 50 miles on it. Must've been wearing my lucky socks or something.

Oil change and washed her yesterday. Spent about 2 hours scrubbing the grease clean from the rear rim though. What a disaster that was against the gold. Anyone know a good product to use to get that junk off easier?

 

I use purple power degreaser and it works great. Wipes off real easy letting it soak just 30 seconds.

 

Motul Chain Cleaner is awesome, but WD-40 works, too.

went to put on my new Driven D - spools only to find out I was shipped 6mm spools and my 2012 needs 8mm. ugh.

Just bought a 2010 STR with 8400km about 3 weeks ago. 40min ride home from where I purchased it and less than a minute away from home motor dies on me....yep Regulator/Rectifier problem

Since then have installed CBR600RR 2007 regulator/ rectifier with cable kit from Eastern Beaver and voltage now charging battery! Woohoo

Have now added;
Triumph Tank Protector
Flyscreen

Ordered driven D Axis Spools (silver), Fork Sliders and Anodized Top Yoke nut.

Next will be a Tail Tidy and an Arrow 3-1 exhaust

Removed those ugly front reflectors and the unused rear pegs.

 

May want to keep those unused rear pegs on there. I was just about ready to take mine off, and decided I wanted to ride and do it the next day. Had my first off, and those pegs kept my exhaust can on the left side unscathed. It got pushed up a tad, only the heat shield made contact, and that can be recovered in plasti-dip...just saying.

 

Kissed my ST3 goodbuy. The appraiser wrote my bike off today in the "totaled and non-repairable" status.

This is also my goodbuy to all of you, fine ST3-STR-D675 folks. I enjoyed my time here.
