Wow, stock exhaust... Love everything else!

 

I went for a ride and found a Lambo in a fairly random location...

 

Similar story. I went with a friend to pickup his car at a performance shop and found a Ferarri 458 collecting dust in the shop. Looked at it for a while and walked away. Then one of the techs at the shop opened the trunk to show me the engine.... Heffner twin turbo kit..wow....

On a motorcycle related note, I broke 10,000 miles today. 10,055 to be exact. Also lubed the clutch cable when I got home. I love this bike. :nod:

 

How often do you lube your clutch cable? I had one snap last year on the 250 and since then i've been semi-neurotic about it, lubing the cable every other weekend.

First time I've done mine. Will probably do it every few months or so. Not really sure. Anyone else have any ideas?

Wow, that's a heck of a find. The 458 is my favorite new car, even though I've never seen one in the flesh.

I've seen the Enzo in person, and the 458 looks like one step further into a science fiction movie from the future. It's really cool. I can't imagine what a TT setup must feel like. My best guess would be insanity.

As for what I did today? 150 miles of bliss. Rode in upstate CT, and I didn't get stuck behind a single car for hours. Had the whole place to myself! :nod:

 

I put a Q2 on the rear then put 180 twisty miles on her.

 

Put on my AP rearsets. Turns out they are good to go with the Arrow lowboy.
Plenty of room at all angles.

I haven't seen anything yet that gives as much visibility as the OEM mirrors.

Anyone in New South Wales, Australia looking for a Street Triple R. I have just placed an advert in the classifieds on this forum. It's in mint condition and I would like it to go to a good home.

 

you can take the lenses off the indicators, and remove the internals. I believe its just spade connectors connecting the wires to the bulb holder. Once seperated, you should be able to feed them back though the mounting hole, making it easy to remove the whole indicator unit

 

Yup. I got a bunch of help with this both to install my rad guards and then to take off and put on the new one after I went down. Takes literally 5 mins. No way I would deal with the tank.

Went for a nice 70 mile ride. Finally scrubbed in the right side of my tires to match the left side, but I still need to work on confidence overall. Also need to keep more weight off the handlebars.

 

Nice pick on the Sargent. Love mine. A litter firmer than OEM, but much better shape.

 

Installed speed bleeders and bled the system with Motul DOT 5.1.

 

Added a Kriega US Tank along with US-5 and also a US-30 combo with the alloy strap upgrades. Also installed CRG Hindsight LS mirrors with BC mounts and their aluminum plugs for the old mounting locations, and LeoVince SBK GP slip-ons. Now just waiting on my adjustable levers in black, and time to send my headlamp buckets, handlebar, rearsets, passenger pegs, and kickstand to NJcustoms for powdercoat. Im also wanting to coat my entire exhaust black, but that wont be until I replace the stock collector with one from cone engineering with the merge bullets and I remove the cat.

Those are some pretty cool-looking bar-ends. What's the story with the extension - anti vibration? How well did they fit?

 

As its pissing down ere... Going to strip the exhaust off and start to add the new pipe.. Once i get it cut and welded it should look good.. Nice and short... Cant wait..

 

I finally got around to changing the shift light settings! 1600k's later.

upgrade? I just bought this lol just upgraded from a 250. I dont plan on getting rid of it for a while why? No need to upgrade.

 

Well I have a lot of bikes and have dolled them up as well. Every time I found something else that I wanted I always never got out close to what I put in them. I tend to bank my money instead of putting too much money in them so that I have the money to reinvest in my next one. There will always be something that will catch your eye in the future like maybe a new Steety with with a full HP Daytona engine in it. That is what I'm waiting to see.

 

ah i see... well I would like to own a super sport one day but I would have 2 bikes then. I honestly think the streety is a perfect bike. I dont need something that goes 180mph, the acceleration is plently for me and if I got a super sport it would be a 600 or 750, no need for 1000. But people do change their mind alot and you never know what will come out next. I plan to keep the streety for at least 5 years min.
