Thanks!! Glad you're Enjoying it. I'll get pics of the Cowl that went on the other day :p

Found out too that my front tire is in need of replacing, which sucks cause my rear is fairly new...It caught a nail last summer so I had to get one new rear..but now..my front is almost to the wear bars..

So.... Dunlop Q3's here I come!.. just keep my rear for a track day and get a new matching front to use.

Last line listed.
29.5" OAL.
1 x 20* Forward bend

Alright...did a little work today as my Master came in the other day..

Also...while pulling everything off for the new rear rotor..my buddy decided that we should powdercoat my wheels and ACTUALLY powdercoat my sub frame instead of rattle can..and to have them both be the matching Red from the D675R Subframe...so....... we stripped the wheels off and down..

Without further a due....pics..

OH NO!!! SOMETHING IS MISSING!!...oh yea...its in the box on the ground..
Image

Aaaaaaaand here is the old junk.
Image

Still waiting on the Lines (which should arrive tomorrow while I'm in Nebraska) aaaaaaaaand the Brake pads..But here's a little mock up shot.
Image

And of the rear.. With ThatKid's bracket looking FANTASTIC might I say..
Image

Mock up of the Master.. Still need to actually get it set up.. I just didn't want to pull the res. off the old brakes until I had EVERYTHING here and ready to go.. Might be an issue with the tubing from the master to the res. but..I'll figure that out.. Regardless...PIC!
Image

And off the bike..

Shot of the bracket by itself..

Second Post...before I hit the Pic Per Post Limit... which I'm sure there is one.... MOVING ON!

A Different angle of the bracket..and kinda a useless picture lol
Image

..Oh...but it does show that I probably need a new chain lol...if you saw the kink...good eye.

Aaaaaaaand then this happened....
Image

Note: Yes..the bike is Scorched Yellow. Yes it's Plastidipped. Yes it's pealing. No I dont care.

Dismounted the tires and pulled all the seals, circlips and bearings out aaaaaaand cleaned up the OE Wheels...never seen them this clean haha.
Image

I definitely think somethings may be missing...
Image

Little interesting fact...Im not sure if either 1) The OEM Rotors are produced by SunStar...or 2) I have aftermarket rotors already. Either way...cool.
Image

Showing the difference between the two...and potential wicked stunt set-up?...nah... Ill crash...and cry.
Image

Front wheel...all shiny!
Image

Well..thats all... I have to be awake in 3.5 hours to go to Nebraska for a couple days... yaaaaaaaaaaaay truck driving!! booooooooo getting stuck in Wyoming for 2 days last week..

ENJOY!!

You make me want to upgrade my brakes !!
I know it Chris!! I got inspired by others threads too and its the whole reason I did mine. I also had a bunch of good information and help from other members along the way... But..time for some updates..

I just got back from Nebraska for work last night and on the way home I called my local dealer about new seals and bearings for my wheels..Nothing wrong with mine, its just suggested by the manual to replace them.. Well..I got quoted $190 after tax roughly at the dealership which I thought was bullshit..

So I went down to my local Whisler Bearing and was able to get ALL the bearings and Seals for $94 (rounded up) out the door. Whisler bearing does commercial bearings and such..so, strong products!

The Front seals I got from them were 1mm too thick and I could've gone back and exchanged the but I was already at the dealer picking up other parts I ordered..

If anybody would like the part numbers for the aftermarket bearings and seals let me know!!

But here's the first supply run.. I brought my old stuff which I labeled and bagged with me aaaaaaand picked up an Oil pan gasket, an engine bolt (that I broke..somehow) and a new oil pressure valve.
Image

Over all, thats about $200 in parts pictured..

When my header gets back from getting modified, cat deleted and new merge collector, I'm going to also drop my oil pan and see how it looks inside considering it's a used Motor I dont know exactly how it was treated..

This is going to give me a chance to install the new pressure valve, which I believe to be a maintenance item..and put a fresh gasket in there and also clean up the pan inside and out.

Figured, the header has to come off to get to the pan, so I might as well do it all at once.. which reminds me, I need to order new header exhaust manifold gaskets... dammit. It's always something..

I also had a care package from Riders Discount arrive when I was gone out of town! And it Had some goodies in it!
Image

Galfer Wave Rear Rotor.

Initial impressions... 1) Damn its thick. 2) Damn its heavy!!

I also had TJ send me some Woodcraft bar ends because I lost one of mine on a ride..it rattled out.

Interesting note on that, the factory bar weights are about 6" long..almost the entire length of the handle bars..and a pain in the ass to get out..so I'll see how the woodcraft weights feel by comparison. I'm a little concerned they might not be heavy enough..but! They put the weight at the END of the clip on and not the entire length of the bar..so we'll see.

Pics..
Image

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand!! My Brake lines came from Ryan at CoreMoto while I was away too!! So I'm super excited to get it all together.
Image

However......my wheels are torn apart and going to go to powder coat on friday when I get home..

I'm also going to pull my subframe and valve cover and do those both to match. Wrinkle Red on the VC and the subframe and then High Gloss red on the wheels the same color.. This is the sample pic I'm going to bring the shop..
Image

Mean while I was the dealer... They decided to show me what just came in..

2015 Daytona 675R..... IN MATTE F**KING BLACK!!!!! So dope lookin!

Back to reality....my pads should arrive from Riders discount today!

Where is the pic of the rear galfer rotor?

Mine is noticeably lighter than the stocker, also sunstar makes the rotors that come on the bikes.

I posted the pic of the Galfer..

But.....update..

The brake lines WILL NOT WORK at the current length.

I matched my specs and lengths to James' bike exactly and somewhere between 06-08 and 09-12 something changed in the front end.

My rear line which matches yours too wont work JD.

I measured it all out with the bike on a steering stem stand to get the forks to the full extension and came up with COMPLETELY different measurements.

So.... I'm going to cross my fingers and hope that I can return the lines...being custom lengths I'm not very hopeful and I might have just thrown $148 down the drain..but thats the price you pay to pioneer new stuff..

Regardless... the NEW Lengths that I have are as follows..and new bends on the rear.

ORIGINAL SPECS (that may work on other 09-12's)
Right - 21"
Left - 22"
Both with 45 Forward bends on each end.

Rear - 29.5"
Forward 45 and Forward 20

Neither of these lines will work..

NEW SPECS FOR 06-08 WITH OEM FORKS
Front Left Line
Over All Length (OAL): 26.5" (with forks all the way extended) allowing for 0.5" of slack.
45* Forward bend at MC
45* Forward bend at Caliper (no other angle really guides the line to the correct place to avoid hitting the wheel)

Front right Line
OAL: 25.5"
45* Forward bend at MC
45* Forward bend at Caliper

Rear
OAL: 31" IF YOU ROUTE IT THE SAME AS ME. I'll post pics later.
20* Forward bend at MC
90* SIDE bend at Caliper.

Unfortunately I wont have it together soon... and I have to be awake for work in 2hr 45m to do a 14hr day and drive about 350 miles...so tomorrow is going to suck.

I'll Update with more info further down the road..

Big thanks to James for gettin back to me and helping get it squared away! Measuring his bike and me measuring mine to see differences.

Fork OAL is about 1.5 - 1.385" difference..

That truly sucks on the brakeline thing..
How are you routing your rear line?
stock or aftermarket rearsets?

Going with the 30" measurement i have more line that i would like to be honest, 29" would be better for my application.
Attack rearsets in most forward and down position.

Factory rear sets... and the line length is okay, its just not going to work with the forward bend the way I want it to.. So... I'm doing it different and going with 31.5" OAL with a 20* Forward on the MC and a 90* Side on the Caliper side.

Well..didn't really get much work done on my bike... mostly worked on a customer's GSXR1000.. But...just some pics from today..

Interesting difference between the Weighted Woodcraft bar end sliders I picked up off of TJ and the stock ones.. Pics of woodcrafts above...heres the massive OE's

Image

Watching MotoGP while workin on the 1000...and my poor bike sitting naked..
Image

Did add some SKUR goodies and other misc BS though..
Image

Image

Cleaned up my spare pan for when I switch the Coolant over to Engine Ice and install the modded header...going to drop the pan and poke around inside...see how it looks. Have a new Gasket from the dealer ready to go..

Debating on painting the pan..
Image

I could seriously eat off this thing.

Current projects...mine and a Customer bike.. GSXR1000
Image

Rear Sprocket boredom..made it shiney.. sure my chain is gonna tear it up..but It was caked in chain lube and dirt so I cleaned it and it stripped the coating off so..hit it with some VHT high temp and some fancy shit.
Image

Wheels, Subframe and Valve Cover are at powder coat right now.. Wrinkle Red on the Valve cover and subframe and a high gloss red on the wheels.

Probably gonna get some beer and light the fire pit at the shop and just relax.. Cant do anything till parts come in from various sources and the powder coat is done..
