I'm planning on mounting under the windscreen, just under the cluster. Unfortunately it doesn't fit with the case, so i have to secure it somehow. We'll see how the video is without a case, hopefully not too much vibration.

How do you guys use it so it looks through the windscreen and can see gauges, but still be out of your way/ line of sight on the track? It seems most of those setups the camera/mount would be right in your face.

Not a GoPro, but a little tiny Veho Atom. Sound sucks on these (so I removed it), but the camera location is interesting.

I give a clinic on failed passing in this clip.
Too bad the quality of video and sound but the positioning of this camera is really interesting. I'm going to try this when I get back to the track.

Very Cool, thanks for posting.

Seems that a lot of you are using the suction cup mount. Is it the genuine GoPro one or one of the cheapies from Ebay?
I have a cheap one from the Amazon post I mentioned above but I haven't gotten to use it yet. I've tried sticking it to a table and it seems to be pretty strong. If mine hadn't come with the other accessories I would have gone with the GoPro brand. I believe it's rated to 200 mph. My plan is to use the cheap one but also to use a tether with it. I'll post about how it works out once I get a chance to use it.

I use a Mobius 1080p over the cluster but still under the screen. This camera is small, cheap, with great video quality and mounts with a single bolt. Lots of mounting options for a camera this small.

I mount mine with the adhesive tab just in front of the gas cap. Filmed in superview (1440p angle of view compressed into a 1080p aspect ratio) on my hero 4 silver, you get to capture not just the cockpit but take in some stellar peripheral and sky views. Looks great especially in a race with traffic

I just finished a couple of molded chin mounts for my shoei helmets. $15 and 3ish hours of work, pretty pleased with the result. I have a writeup/diy I posted for my local moto groups. I'll gladly put it here when I get back home from vacation.

It's a very standard cam position, but has the least wind drag and weight imbalance than any other mounting position on helmet.

Sorry, guess the mobile app will only allow one photo at a time.

Thread revival!

Just found a cool way to securely attach the GoPro to the pillion pegs using the RAM handlebar mount.

Check it out and let me know what you guys think.

Instead of wrapping the hooks AROUND the pillion foot pegs, run them THROUGH the hole of the heel guard.
