Is it just me, or is the 'chamfered' generator cover no different from the old one? My D675 cover looks exactly like the one pictured, and pictures of the current ST also have the chamfered generator cover.

They're really reaching for 'updates' they can talk about, huh?

Sales of the Street Triple have been very, very good ....... IMO Triumph should ignore traditional marketing theory and stick with what has been working so well. The twin exhaust were a huge part of the bikes identity, the original swing arm was probably the nicest-looking one in the business. I wonder if the tank has been screwed with as well?

No matter how much you like the high mount pipes removing them centralizes mass, gets rid of buttock roasting heat, once you ride w/ a low mount exhaust on a Striple, you'll never go back to high mounts. I wish Triumph made a low mount for the Daytona, the heat is something I could do w/o.

Honestly, at first glance it doesn't look that radically different than the 2012, unlike the shot of the new daytona. And if it has the same exhaust as the new daytona just be glad they didn't show that side of the bike, it's gross. On a positive note think of the recent speed triple redesign. It didn't win the die hard over but everyone who has ridden one said it is a better bike.

I still think the style of the bike plays a massive role! What you're saying is like jumping in bed with a fat chick - she may go harder but doesn't mean you'd still want to marry it.

I think they are slowly torturing the flagship models to death. As stated, the die-hards will hate it but triumph will more than likely attract some buyers from the big 4 market as a cost. Win-win for them really.

Personally I don't like it - too much of a radical change!

*Edit* It may ride better as with the speed triple, that's not to say the older one wasn't already the case.
