Hi guys,

1st post, have seen a few posts on exhausts and keen when I pick up my bike to get one.

Should I wait??

And just test the bike out with the standard exhaust

Questions:

1. There are two Arrow models, lowboy and 3-1, what do you recommend and why?

2. With one of these exhausts will the bike lose the amazing intake sound?

Thanks guys.

Can't wait to show you my new wheels!!

I second that. The stock experience is something you're not going to want to miss out on. The blend of the intake and the stock exhaust is quite nice as it sits. I've read reviews where the author stated the upgrade to the arrow was barely worth the money. That's how nice the stock system is. Ride it and see what you think. If you want to upgrade, I'd go with the low boy but that's just me.

Yep my dealer has told me the 3-1 System is the way to go... loads more power and sounds lots better as well.

$900 vs $1650 time will tell
Loads more? He's giving you a "load" alright. There is a difference, it's not night/day that you will experience.

The only real significant difference with a premium exhaust is the weight savings. Now if you do some engine work (not talking air/oil filter BS) you can milk some HP out of a good Low-mount set-up.

They do not offer the 3 into 1 for the 2013. All they have is the slip-on.

I just installed the Arrow slipon on my 2013. Haven't had the retune done yet. But have noticed a little more power. Can now pick up the front tire with just throttle input in first gear. Ready for the retune to see what else changes.

I agree. The power difference isn't going to be that significant. Most people can barely tell the upgrade difference on the tried and true butt dyno. The arrow does sounds nice, but not the pricetag nice. It's a ton of money for a small upgrade.

In defense of the Arrows, they are titanium and excellently-built. Expensive - yes. But they will still look new many years down the road. Not to mention, the titanium cools off very quickly and is the lightest material used for this application, if chasing those extra few ounces, lol.

If you have the beautiful 2013 model and it's exhaust tone / sound your after the the arrow is not the way to go IMO
I would be looking at the Remus or the SC Project slip on , neither will give you a noticeable power difference ( I've had both ) but they sure do sound a lot better than the arrow
If it's power your after then de-cat your headers that will give you a small power increase you can notice, not mega bhp but you will certainly notice it

If you have a beautiful 2013 model then either you live in a parallel universe, or your name's Stevie Wonder...

We're still beating the "13's are ugly" thing with a stick, huh?

Anyways, I love the arrow on my 13. It's slightly louder than stock with the baffle in most noticeably through the mid range to the top. But once you remove the baffle it sounds amazing, easy to reinstall too if you need to. I've heard a Leo Vince and a few other aftermarket options in person and it was just too loud for me. Sounded like it traded a nice tone for DBs.

Not as hard as they beat the 2013 bike with the ugly stick.

To be fair, after a year of seeing them around (in dealers, don't seem to see any on the road) I've got more used to them to the extent that they're now just hideous, rather than making me actually physically sick, lol. Still wouldn't buy one though.

Picked up my Street Triple R 2014 yesterday..... guess what.... mine was standard and a guy picked up the exact same bike with the same colour but had the Arrow Slip on.

Mine standard exhaust sounds great very impressed didn't think it would be that loud.

I'm running the bike in so keeping it max around the 7,000 rpm mark.

Love the tone when I hit that can't wait to rev it up to 14,000 rpm.

Will get the Arrow when the 1st service is being done.

What a great bike. Handles like a dream, even great with a pillion, feels really quick and as we all know sounds perfect.

Tomorrow I ride 400km will really get to test it out, can't wait

So glad with my purchase!!

i was gonna get arrows for my 2013 St3R but i went with a GPR exhaust. Many people said that paying so much for the arrows and the difference in hp and sound isn't that great. Even magazine reviews said just buy the arrow logo and stick to the stock. Thats how good the stock one was, but with the GPR my bike now SCREAMS i love it !!!!!!

love it! How did you decide which exhaust to purchase out of the many they offer?
