Hi all,

I can confirm the R1 footpeg works, thanx heaps for the info.

If there a rear brake disc equivalent out there?
when you say foot pegs, do you mean just the foot pegs or the entire rearsets?

i can confirm that the 05 636 fork tube works!.. running one now.

also gsxr clutch lever works great!

im also running ducati front and rear afam spockets, had to notch out the rear alittle but other than that woks great. put over 5k miles with no problem

Well we will wait for the response but all I read in his statement was that the kawasaki 636 fork tube worked. Not the forks complete just the stanchion tube. But I tend to read things from a more technical view point.

Beyond that from what I understand the Kawasaki forks are a direct fit and all you need to do is swap the axle/brake carriers.

dingdingding.. from what iv seen and read boths forks are the same other than the axle/brake carriers... i bought sum used chrome 636 whole forks. i dont like chrome so i just swap the "tube" only over on the 675 unit..

and i used 05 r6 forkseals. which worked great.. set up the forcks for my skinny ass.. never felt better

and on another note.. u can make the 03-05 r6 and whatever year r6s rear sets work.. i was rocking one for awhile.. u have to grided it out a little to fit in the 675 frame, also have to use the r6 brake master.. i was gonna buy a aftermarket set and make work but there not any cheaper than a 675 units

if any body wants i can do a mock up for the rearset and take sum pics???

edit: im also running a 1098/1198 throttle tube..i bolted right up.. i duno ifs any better than stock.. but mine got messed up in my crash.. got it free from work. with new grips woot

hmmm, I have access to my former 05 R6 which has Vortex rearsets, Ill see if its possible

well which model?
no idea.. when my vortex's worn out i have to get spocket asap and we didnt have any at my work.. so i went threw the box of new unmarked spockets.. i can get the PNs of them next time i work on the bike..

the r6 rearsets have the same bolt line up.

Gilles rearsets compatibility

I have found a used Gilles rearsets from Street Triple and I am wondering if they can be fitted to Daytona 675 06-08.

Searching at the web I found that sportsbikeshop shows them compatible but I visited the official site of gilles and found two different codes.
Triumph Daytona 675 D67LC 2006

Triumph Street Triple D67LD 2008

Does anyone know if they are compatible, and if they are what are those differences?

Either should fit, the stock rearsets aren't the same but should be interchangeable. The frame, swingarm and engine/mounting is the same. The Gilles Strret Triple version will probably be more extreme than stock, but maybe only give a similar riding postion to the stock daytona setup (even fully back and up).

So do you think is it worthy to try them or is it a waste of money as far as riding position is concerned?

IF I'm right... It depends on what you are looking for.
If you are looking for more ground clearance etc. on a Daytona then probably not because the standard Street Triple rearsets are less radical than the Daytonas. A more radical rearset for the Street Triple would give more ground clearance and be further back, but may only be similar to a standard Daytona setup.
If you just want bling, and are happy with something like the standard position then go for it...
But Gilles should be able to confirm my guess...

Those aren't different rearsets. The D67LC and D67LD are Gilles' designation for the individual bikes not for the parts themselves. Clicking on those link will take you the available parts for said designation and you will see on those pages that the rearset part number (AS31GT) is the same for both bikes.
