How did R6S front calipers get on this list? From what I can tell these calipers are for conventional forks and would not fit the Daytona 675. Is this a street triple specific part compatibility?

I've submitted here before that any information in this thread should be accompanied by a photo with the part installed for verification. It would be the "courteous" thing to do. I'd bet there are several errors listed that have caused lost money and or grief.

Hi :)

sorry for not reading al the 21 pages..... ;-)

I'm thinking to change the brake calibers on my 06 trackdaybike, to some monoblock calibers..

does the newest d675 calibers fit the old one ?
..or perhaps the speed triple calibers fit ?

..i see that the GSXR fits, with a litlle mods (which year's by the way)

thanks :)

I would like to know as well. I see posts saying there is a 4-piston caliper set up for the non-raidal mount st but I cant find real confirmation anywhere. So please post up if you have the low down :coolgleamA:

Our bikes use radial mount calipers so non radial mount calipers will not fit with out extensive modifications to you forks. I imagine if you were to find say an older USD fork that used non-radial mount calipers you could switch the fork bottoms and that would work. However you would in turn be losing quite a bit of braking along the way.

But I would like to know which monobloc calipers fit with out modifications, not that I have seen any monoblock calipers from the later 675 on ebay.

D675 Fairings

I see that Aviator asked this before but I didn't see a response. Will 07 plastics fit on a 10 bike? Would the tabs line up if I used an 07 plastic on the left with a 10 on the right??? What about the nose, could I put an 07 nose on a 10 bike if I had both left and right from an 07??? Could i use an 07 nose with 10 fairings...

you get the picture... thanks in advance for any words of wisdom...

Thanks

Yes, yes and yes. For the nose though you also need matching year headlights & windscreen

The 675 and Daytona 600/650 front brake rotors are NOT compatible. They have the same diameter and bolt pattern but the 675 has cut outs which the rotors sit within, helping to hold it in place. The 600 relies solely on the bolts.

The front axle spacers are the same (on one side) - same part numbers. The 600 has a stepped spacer the appears the same as the other when fitted but sits within the bearing unit.

The sprocket side rear spacer is also the same - again, same part numbers and description.

The caliper side rear axle side spacer is DIFFERENT. The 675 is 3.5mm longer between the shank and the beginning of the schamfer (6mm V 2.5mm), making it 3.5mm shorter overall. The shank is the same length, so I would assume the recess to be the same.

The rear axle is DIFFERENT. The 675 is 13mm shorter.

Not sure if it has been discussed before but you can use a Vesrah SF-4007 oil filter ($8), its identical to the Triumph OEM one and about $5 cheaper then Triumphs OEM.

The 1050 Speed triple tank is not a direct fit.

The 955 and 1050 Speed Triple header is not a direct fit - oval ports, not round or D-shaped.

For both of the above, the OP may mean STREET Triple parts, not Speed Triple parts.

According to K&N site, the KN-204 filter fits almost any bike you can think made in the last 10+ years.
http://www.knfilters.com/search/applications.aspx?Prod=KN-204

So there must be something in common with all bikes, so just find whatever fits those and you should be good.

As for me spending $14.95 on a K&N is fine.
