The longest that I have had a bike was about 5 yrs. and the shortest was just a month. The later was an 83 Kawasaki 750 Zepher. I traded in on an 83 Ninja ZX6 E model of which I had for 5 yrs. Loved that bike. And the street triple reminds me of it a lot but more comfy.

Just set up the cbr shock after fitting 550 lb spring to st3 and works brilliant,well pleased.

But...altered the geometry somewhere along and now slght understeer on slow corners and oversteer on fast corners,rather the other way around.
Tried lowering rear end and too much understeer at low speeds.
Also tried raising the front end and again too much under steer at low speed.
Anyone else had this problem?

 

You need to remove that ugly evap canister, Tronix.
It would clean up the belly pan lines.

the part you have pointed to came from the factory with it. Alot of people take them off. I'll need to take more pics of the front with the mirrors. I bought them from the2wheel.com for $124 I am experimenting with them weather or not I like them or not, and if I dont I will most likely sell and get crg bar ends.

Replacing spark plugs and upgrading the R/R (kit from Triumph). So far no hiccups . Taking pics along the way incase I forget where the connectors go.

No worries. I did a smaller loop today. About 100 miles total. Lots of bikes out today. Mostly HDs. I have tomorrow off, so I might check out eastern NY/Western MA.

Riding: This weekend did about 250 miles on my Striple, including a bear mountain run (tower was closed).

Stuff: this past week I clear coated my Deal's Gap stickers into my tank and rear panels (dragon bike!), added Triumph carbon fiber swing arm guards, Cox radiator guard, and replaced shot R&G tail tidy license plate light.

Going to have to catch up with you at some point and check out your bike. Would like to see those swingarm covers too.

As for the thread, I cleaned my chain when I got home, ate dinner and then spent the last few hours adjusting my handlebar. Turned it inward more to flatten out the grips. Now my wrists are more straight. Moved the levers, mirrors, etc. Tomorrow I'll see if it was worth the effort.

Rode to my last MSF class. Passed and I've got my Class M endorsement now, woot. The MSF course was a gigantic skills enhancement and skills booster. I'm actually confident at low speeds now instead of being tentative.

 

Congrats. Smart move with the MSF.

It takes at least a few thousand miles of riding to be completely comfortable. Go put some miles on.

 

I've got nearly 900 miles on the Striple, and probably close to that on a buddy's Nighthawk 250. My biggest issue during the entire class was keeping my head up and leading more with my head and not just my eyes.

Freezing my ass off on the way home after sundown, damn you summer jacket!

 

planning a route for tomorrow into NY State. Was riding in my summer jacket today but tomorrow I think I'll put the 2 piece suit on, just to be safe.

By the time I hit 260 miles I was done. Those last 20 miles were spent avoiding any imperfection in the road. :laugh:

 

Talus route 7 is great, I rode it more than a few times last year.

If you happen to drive it at night, like 1am, or anytime at night... I suggest following a car... Bambi is everywhere.
