Did you wait at the dealer all day for that or did you have a ride somewhere.
You beat me to my edit.

My wife and I rode up and stayed while they did their thing. I forgot to mention that the Tiger800 was OK - still too tall of a bike for me. I think Triumph will sell a bunch of them. I still would not trade the Striple for it.

heh only reason i ask is I dont feel like waiting hours for my 500 mile service because the dealer is more than an hour from me and i dont have someone to follow me.
The 500 mile service should not take more than 1-1/2 hours. That will leave you just enough time to sit on all the different models, take a wizz, shoot some bull and maybe your dealer will be nice enough to let you test ride something.
I'm constantly turning down my dealer's offers to ride stuff when there (used inventory - which he has a good amount of), new bikes are pretty much off-limits, lol. I like riding all the stuff, just don't care for the potential liability issues.

well today I am doing my oil change on the bike. Yesterday I checked all the bolts on the bike and re-torqued everything, checked all the controls, etc. Adjusted the chain to near perfect, wheel alignment is perfect, I just have bug splatter all over the dam engine covers!

Changed my oil and installed the qwikvalve. For the life of me, I could NOT get it to be pointed at the top, I tried many ways and couldn't get it so it is what it is. I will be covering this up with a belly pan hopefully soon.

I decided to play around with tire pressure today on my street triple r...

Originally had mine set at about 38/39 rear and 32 psi front. I figured the front was too low, so I raised it to about 34/35 psi....

Took the bike for a spin, and immediately did not like it. Felt like the front was going to wash out on me in moderate leans. I didn't get much feel either, almost as if there would be no warning. I guess I'll lower it back to 32 again.

Radiator sprung a leak (back side of core somehow) so I spent my afternoon waiting for a tow truck to the dealer. Should have been installing my 1050 throttle tube instead of getting it into the shop...

I just put in K&N air Filter, Oil Filter, installed new HEL clutch lines and a CBR600RR rear shock (black).

i have done quite a lot to my bike since i last posted on this forum, members of street-triple will know but i will post some pics and spec lists on here soon.

Swapped and tested 3 sets of different suspension plates on my street triple.

Interesting how each set of plates makes the bike feel and behave.

Also patched up my belly pan from my last close call I had which left deep gouges and scratches in the side.

rode down to a local cove, and when I was leaving i went wot to kick some gravel up and up goes the front LOL oops... then i slammed down on the ground and my balls hit the tank wahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

I left it at the shop...

I took my bike in for service yesterday. Since it was due for the major (check valve clearances, etc), I planned to leave it overnight. My mechanic asked if I wanted a loaner bike. He needed to put some miles on this here Thruxton. When I left his shop it had 0.6 miles. I told him I'd see what I could do. It'll be ready for its first service in a couple days ;)
