valve check my maff!

so....i did my first valve check today (skipped it at 10k) and got some somewhat worrying results. i wanna know what your opinions are?

my bike is a '12 R w/20k miles that i commute on every day and it sits at 8k rpm pretty much all the time. i'm attributing this to my results.

from left to right:

EX: .356 / .356 / .356 / .381 / .381 / .356
IN: .127 / .127 / .152 / .152 / .127 / .127

so all my exhaust valves are way loose. should be (.275 - .325mm), intakes are all good though (.10 - .20mm).

can i attribute these results to high EGTs from running constant RPMs for long distance?

guess i'm pulling off her girdle tomorrow.. :curtsey:

Took the striple out for a good romp in the country. Gravel in the curves. Took it easy and was safe.

road 30 miles on this 45 degree day, came back and my bike was full of sand, so was my entire jacket haha.

 

You can come and do mine since I never did it before and not looking forward to ripping it all apart

 

Got a new Road 2 coming in the mail to replace my burnt up rear. Got a little over 10,000 miles out of it. Lots of highway miles and not to much squaring.

 

Fitted a seat cowl

Got it today after a 5 week wait for it to arrive from the UK to Oz but worth it, finishes off the look of the bike, and fits in well with the 3 into 1 Arrow and rear pegs removed for those nice clean lines.

 

Decided to give the girl a wipe down & stuck on some Snakskin TechSpec's

Ordered a Quick Shifter for mine. Unfortunately I won't be able to try it out right away because we're going to have a foot or more of snow on the ground by the end of the day today.

Went for a Sunday morning coffee, which meant a relaxing, cruising along 180 km ride.

Took off the windscreen bracket for the Dart Manta windscreen which I'll probably be putting up for sale in the classifieds pretty soon.

Picked it up from the dealer after 2 months of warranty work. It was nasty! So I cleaned her up and tucked her safe in the garage.

Fitted the loops for my Kriega US 20. They've been lying around for ages and was just too lazy to do it.

 

Hooked up a 12v & USB outlet and fitted my brake strobe modulator! MUAHAHAHA. But...its gonna snow tomorrow...=[

 

i ordered the fly screen and bar end mirrors cant wait to install it !
