Gerbing??

Living in Florida, I only get to use mine for 3 months a year. But they are worth every dollar spent!! With the dual controller, you can adjust the gloves warmer than the liner. Very nice feature.

While winter has you held captive try your liner on with your riding jacket. Then try to plug in the gloves to the cable coming out of the sleeve. I finally gave up and ordered a extension from Gerbing's and the problem was eliminated. It really helps when your riding buddies are waiting for you!!!:rofl2:

In your part of the US, these will be a life saver.. Good luck.

Thanks for the info on the Gerbing heated clothing Florida Bob! Sounds like I'm really going to like it... I will check out the hookup from the coat to the gloves and see if I need that extension..

Changed my oil (first time doing it myself! - yah, kinda hate to admit that) and epoxied a crack that had formed in the belly pan.

Oh yah, and rode the snot out of it.

 

First ride of 2014. Froze my ass of 41 degrees.

 

Great pic! It's always cool to see a bike parked next to snow. That's some diehard shit right there.

 

All that snow was ice from the stupid river.

 

Ordered a quickshifter today, can't wait to get my bike out of hibernation and install the quickshifter and my new SC project GPM2 that's laying around at home.

I've been watching them for quite some time now, and have been doing further research on HUD helmets. Seems like a great idea, but the more I read about the feature set and their marketing criteria the more I get worried about the pricing. My latest guess is that this is going to cost somewhere well north of $1,000 if not $2,000.

There are few other companies that are working on HUD helmets, here are a few that are promising.

Left it at home and took the car 45 degrees (113F) was a bit much. 46 (115F) tomorrow. I rode it yesterday though because it was only 43 (110F)

 

I'm pretty sure you can turn it off as the HUD is multiview.

 

Stopped in at the local Big 4 Cycle and picked up a couple of sets of front brake pads. These guys here are a great bunch. I also picked up the Samford leather jacket. It was on sale for 270.00. Marked down from 400.00 and they gave me another 30 bucks off of that. I also sat on a 2014 pearl white Daytona. I could only get the tips of my toes on the ground but I would love to get that thing out for about 4 hrs. I do have an extra room in the house I could put it in just for art work.

 

Installed GB engine covers last night, threw on some TechSpec tank grips today, and removed the passenger pegs. Still waiting to go back to the dealer to get my tail tidy and plates!:thumbsup:

Went out for a ride; a couple runs on The Snake in Mulholland and Latigo Cyn Rd. This is Latigo Cyn overlooking Malibu.

 

Finished up the woodcraft clip on and swapped out the silver bars for black, then installed the bar end mirrors after the adapters arrived today.

Then had a well earnt cold beer

Then finished of assembling headlight &
Flyscreen & put my bar end mirrors on

Thanks, for the kind words, I've done the best with what small garage I've got, I just recently sold my old kawasaki, it didnt belong in there beside my D675 & Striple, so I've gotta do some rearranging, to make more room to moove around.

I threw a MWR High Efficiency filter into the girl today, I may have to wait a little while before I can try it fully out, she has to pay a visit to the dealer.

 

Finally got a day where it wasn't either snowing or -11ty*. Got a chance to take the bike for a quick ride and try out my rev'it pants i got for christmas and also the chesty gopro mount. The mount was a bit too low so the only usable shots i got were when i got off the bike to walk around this cemetery.

 

Was thinking about getting that chest mount. It shoots to low while riding?

 

Not a fan of using a Go-Pro (or any action cam) for stills, too much fish-eye. Ruins a good shot, IMO.

 

Only because of the way I had the straps adjusted. Once I got home I fiddled around with it and it was good. I liked it a lot while riding, didn't notice it at all.

 

Got rid of that hideous fender. Now its 100x sexier now! :001: Next up some frame sliders and an exhaust.





Messed around with some editing. Hehe.

And Surk, the fender eliminator looks great. If I bought a new Striple, I would have chosen the gray flavor as well. I'm a neutral color fan haha. Had a thing for gray/silver/matte bikes lately.
