I installed the rest of my frame sliders from motovation. Got the front, rear and engine ones done... and did the rim tape yesterday
I would have looked into getting it re-covered in Alcantara, that stuff's pretty nice, though not sure how it would hold up living outside 24/7/365.Installed a gel seat. My original seat cracked and eventually the cover was falling off so that the foam was showing. This only happened on the lighter gray material located on the very front and very back of the R seat. Not too happy with that since the bike was garaged for the first year of its life and during the winter. It does stay outside now.
sucks dude. sorry to hear that. I had a hard time finding a 'well kept' used bike for a long time, and those that were in 'ok' shape were way over priced. That's how i ended up with the new bike. Peace of mind really. Look on the bright side, these 'fixes' will only bring you closer to your bike and you'll learn a ton from it. Fix her up good and then you can be the new 'responsible' and 'honest' owner of it. :thumbup:Took the front end apart because I thought one of my fork seals was leaking. Was going to bring the forks in to get new seals and fluid. Found out it was much worse than that.
I feel dumb for not seeing this when I bought the bike, but it was turned inward toward the wheel...like the seller intentionally turned it to hide from the next owner. It is real apparent the previous owner wrecked the bike since the rim was bent, the radiator cowls and signals were taken off, and this fork is damaged. I cannot stand dishonest people. I think this may be the last used motorcycle I purchase unless the bike has less than 5k miles or a year of riding. My luck just isn't there with used bikes.
I did too, on Wednesday... Talas's bike.. It's such a snappy lil thing! :laugh:i went for a nice ride too about 80 miles, it was hot.
