I installed the rest of my frame sliders from motovation. Got the front, rear and engine ones done... and did the rim tape yesterday :)

Well this has been over the course of the last few days:

Manual Cam Tensioner (that involved me having to reset timing) yes i'm a goof
New exhaust cause mine was cracked. Thanks to Scotty for that.
New Tires
New Oil, Coolant, Brake Flush
Iridium Spark plugs and air filter
Cleaned all tar and junk off the engine

Here is the kicker of it all, after all that I lose the pin that connects the clutch rod to the gear. Its a tiny little pin so 48 more hours until I can finally get back on her. I'm taking a nice long middle of the week ride as payment for my hard work.

called the dealer for my headlights. They are going to run the vin and find the TSB for the cracking. I dont really wanna be at the dealer all day, is it hard to replace the lens in the headlights? I dont know if they would just give me the parts.

ack o well, I'll just have to tell them I need to wait for it because I dont have any other transportation.

Does any company sell headlight protection like the 3m or xpel clear plastic you can put on cars to protect the paint? I dont want this shit to crack again.

I may be wrong, but like you said before the crack was internal and not an impact type of crack, and if that is the case a clear protector won't help. It may on the replacement lights though. I think it is more of a materiel problem, and once fixed we shouldn't have to worry...to much anyway. I would hope that the lenses are at leas automotive strength, and I have never seen damage to many car headlights other than the cataracts.

Another thing to consider is, if there is a vinyl type of covering how much more heat would be trapped inside the headlight housing?

Not a big upgrade, but satisfying none the less.

I found this little sweetheart on eBay, at just about half the new price, or at least that's how I justified it to my inner Puritan.

Which brings me to a pet peeve: the incredibly high prices for OEM Triumph parts.
Nice, I like that.

Just got back from an 80 mile ride. Temp. was 58 degrees and some spotty rain. Still it was a blast on my 09 striple. Also noticed that the odo showed 19200.00 miles. Getting close to my 20k check. I know that the front brakes needs freshened up so I will do it myself. The air filter was changed not too long ago. The oil is fresh also.
