I installed the rest of my frame sliders from motovation. Got the front, rear and engine ones done... and did the rim tape yesterday :)

I'm cross-posting, simply because I missed it from a few weeks back.

Potential free front Sportec M5 tire offer from Metzler. See my post on page 2 about the promotion period vs. available qty. I submitted my claim and now am just waiting for a reply.

Nice neyzen! If I had the money, I'd like to get a wrecked Street Triple and put longer travel suspension on it and do logging roads/easy trails. Others will say "Why not just get a Tiger 800?". Two reasons.....I like the power delivery of the Street much better(the Tiger 800's is too soft imo) and it weights too much!

as a long distance dirt rider, lemme tell ya, the STR is a wonderful street bike. not a dirt bike. the rake/trail of the front end will not work in the dirt, it's wash out city. sure, knobbies will make it better but in the dirt you need totally different geometry.

buy a DS for dirt riding, you'll spend less and enjoy more.

And in just a matter of minutes...

Expecting the Metzler's to be provide good traction during the wet fall/winter.

My baby got some rear axle sliders and spools to protect her if she goes for a slide down the road.

Very happy with the spools as they have a spacer that offsets the spools so you can still use a rear stand without it fouling on the axle slider. I hear the trumpy spools are close to the swing arm and using a rear stand will scratch the swing arm. These are so far off the swing arm it shouldn't pose any problems.

Today I noticed BOTH my headlights are cracked. The outside is smooth so I doubt it was from an impact. God dam it!
