While I don't have any specific experience with frame sliders and warranty work, I have had two slight warranty issues with my bike and they didn't give me any problems for my aftermarket exhaust, numerous wiring changes, or other mods.

I can't imagine you would have a single problem adding something that protects the bike and doesn't interfere with its functionality. I wouldn't think twice about it. Every bike sold should come with frame sliders from the factory anyway.

 

Thanks I appreciate the feedback and agree 100%, dropped mine at like 1mph in the driveway lol and a second later was on british-customs.com buying some sliders. Lucky I had some 3M rubbing compound. Can't even tell there was a scratch.

Frame sliders do not void warranty nor do most other cosmetic mods. For anythign that you start doing to the engine/electricial system though they can fight you but the onus is on them to prove that your modification was the cause fo the failure.

There is an act for this that was passed but for the life of me can not remember the name right now and running to meeting or I woudl google it...

 

What SP said, they can not void warranty without proving your mod caused it, but I have never seen anyone have issues with frame sliders. It is a very common thing to add to a bike.

i had the BC on my last bike. they are beefy. have LSLs now.

get slider covers too. those will void warranty for the respect seal though. just take them off if there is an issue and you have to take the bike in.

Any motor vehicle owner would be well advised to familiarize themselves with the basics of this.
