xmas is always entertaining at the inlaws....

RandomBoyfriend: you ride?
Me: yep, did some riding this year.
RandomBoyfriend: all commuting?
Me: mostly the commute, also rode across the country on dirt..
RandomBoyfriend: on your Triumph??
Me: no.
RandomBoyfriend: i'm working on my wheelies...
Me: [walking away]

that or they yell "do a wheelie". facepalm**
yup...all the time. I even get older people yelling do a wheelie.

One time a kid pulled up to me at a red light (on his gixxer of course) and asked if I stunted at all. I told him no. Then he asked if I wanted to go at the light. Once again I told him no and to go screw. As soon as the light went green he pinned it, wheelie-ing away from me, hit a raised casting in the road which clearly freaking him out, put the bike down into a wobble because his front wheel wasnt straight. He managed to control it and pull over. As I was riding by him I saw him on the side of the road doing a cross across his chest and did a prayer and was clearly panting hard. I have no remorse for jackasses like that and he is extremely lucky he didn't dump it.

now back to the original topic, I've been asked "when did ducati start making daytona's. Gotta love italian styling". Had to walk away.

Funny and cute. I was sitting at the pump filling up and dude pulls up in his truck on the other side. While he is filling up his kid (6 years old) jumps across the seat and says look daddy that ones broke! I had to laugh with this being my first naked bike.

I was filling up gas this summer in a small village 40 minutes northeast of stockholm and a family of three walked by, the dad was laughing nervously and said nice bike and his son who was around 8 asked if he could drive it :wtf: I said no, never so the little shit started kicking my rear tyre and pulled on the left rear indicator like he tried bending it off, his dad kept on chuckling and didn't reprimand him or tried to stop him.

I pulled the pest away and handed him to his father, he said a sorry under his breath and walked away, his wife and the kids mother seemed to wish she was somewhere else and didn't even look me in the eye.

Yay for poor parenting..

And here I thought such parenting only happened here in the US. How's the homeland this winter?

i would have snapped.

It's actually pretty good, different weather systems has blocked the cold and snow away from most of scandinavia and Stockholm where i live has been sweet.

It snowed liked once or so but that melted fast. It's been like 2-6 c above the freezing point all of december, rained a LOT though so riding wasn't really an option.

Feels really weird having this mild weather and it makes you think that all hell will break loose at any time, there's reports that we wont get a winter at all this year and that is something i've never experienced before. Time will tell.

Yea i know, i allmost did aswell but then i realized that it wasn't really the kid's fault that his parents were douches and didn't teach him right from wrong.

Had he scuffed the rim or snapped the turnsignal off i can't say what i would have done though but screaming and flying children would probably be part of it ! :coolgleamA:

That would be strange, no winter in Sweden! It has been strange here too though. A record season for rain, cooler than normal temps, and so far this winter, some of the coldest - and more of them - nights I can remember since moving to Atlanta 13 years ago.

Don't think I would've been so patient. The kid would've been pulled away like you did, but I would have a few choice words with dad.

This is the current snow depth in sweden, half the country has no snow at all:
