But I have one question, the rubber covers on your springs still look like they are brand new. The rubber on mine seemed to have melted away. I thought it was a little odd but figured it wasn't terribly unexpected due to how close they are to the exhaust.

Is it normal for the rubber covers on the springs to melt away? It think it only happened on the springs on the down pipe after the collector, not the ones on the headers.

It is pretty common.
