Last year when I was researching chains for my R6, I found the X chain to be better.

It is still an o-ring but has some type of grooves in each one.

Without looking them up again, I think they had better lubrication retention properties

 

X ring is better. You're not going to notice a difference. Go with the o-ring, and be happy.

 

X-ring is better, and I think you can notice the difference. The price difference between the two is probably very low (or even non existing), so I would go for the better type.

 

The X-ring are much better and Z-rings are also available.

 

Ok so has anybody tried a X-Ring chain instead of an O-Ring chain? All of the other bikes that triumph makes uses X-Rings, but the daytona uses O-Rings so which is better before I buy one.

Tried both on previous bike, the x-ring costs more. It might just last a little longer, but doesn't justify the extra cost. IMHO, o-ring's good enough. Spend your extra money on something that makes more impact.

 

all the x ring does is gives ur chain a better seal to keep out dirt and lube in go with the o-ring cheaper just as good
