yea mine was destroyed. i took the heat gun to it and reformed it. you'll actually find if you head it up enough, it starts to reform it's original shape. just put some good gloves on and help it take shape.

i also cut as much of the old silicone/mystery glue out that i could. i just put it all back together a few hours ago with regular indoor/outdoor sealant. i put a bead in the housing and then stuck the lense back on. i'm using zip ties to hold it together overnight. tomorrow i'll smear some more sealant over the outside of the seam. i'm 100% happy with the results so far.
Okay, i'm glad to hear that there is some rescuing it after you basically have to destroy the damn thing to get it apart. I'll let you be the judge if mine is better or worse then yours is/was.

actually looks a little bit better than mine, so kudos to you :coolgleamA:

yea you shouldn't have any problem getting it back together. soon i'll stop being lazy and get up a series of pictures, especially now that they're actually back together. i've been documenting everything.

Sounds good, I'll get mine painted sometime this week and hopefully on the bike by the end of the week.

I just uploaded a bunch of photos on Photobucket. You can find my album on there: cybersailor420

Only thing I didn't take pictures of was mounting my new projectors. I did that at my friend's house and was in a hurry. Hopefully tonight I can get up some pictures of the beam pattern.

Are you planning on doing anything with your running lights while you're at it?

i haven't decided what i want to do with them yet, if anything. i think for now i'm going to leave them out. but eventually if i do put them in, they will only turn on with the headlights, and will alternate blinking with the blinkers.

btw, just finished all my wiring for the headlights. my hi/lo switch is now an on/off switch for both headlights. it triggers a delay timer, so i can leave the switch on and start the bike, and the lights still won't turn on for ~10 seconds.

i took power for the main feed to the relay for the lights straight from the fuse panel. it comes off the output side of the headlight fuse. also, i don't use the stock headlight plugs by the projector any more, only the wiring for the HID bulb from the ballast goes into the headlights.
