I am looking into the Elka 3-way shock. Getting a great price from www.motoworldonline.com I am thinking about adding on the hydraulic preload for a couple hundred extra.

My question is do i need it. I don't carry a passenger ever. Pegs are off and seat cowl is on. So is it worth it for me. Please let me know know what you think

If you are really, really fast at the track and/or race and actually tune your preload for different tracks/conditions/set ups than sure. Otherwise save your money, hell just buy the 2-way Elka (or Penske or Ohlins) and you'll be quite happy with a ton more cash in your pocket for other stuff that will do more for you.
