The only problem with doing a just throw the filter in and dyno it is you wont see performance without mapping changes. The whole idea behind a performance filter is it lets more air in and more air means you need more fuel or the motor goes pop!
We have been trying for several years to do a test with one of the bike mags and all the filters. Problem is not all the manufacturers are willing to go back to back and give away a filter for this test.
