I would think it would fit right up since they haven't made any changes in that area of the bike, but I'm not completely positive

 

HI i will be putting my jardine exhurst on my 09 in about two weeks time, just before my first service, so if you have not find the answer my then. put up another post and i will let you know, old model grey 06 new model fire red 09 , plus bst carbon wheels:rofl2:

BST's are pure sex :notworthy:, match that up with some CMC BrakeTech rotors and you've got yourself one light a$$ trick setup

 

I know the Bodis dousnt fit, because of a new heatshield underneath the seat. The link pipe touched the swingarm where it goes trough

 

That would be my concern.

I haven't decided on exhaust for my 09 yet. It sounds sick stock so that's not a big hurry.

 

Yea im waiting on the Triumph Arrow Special Parts exhaust that they have on their site, my dealer told me they arent expecting them until April :/ Atleast I know that one will fit exactly, but I do like the Jardine off of Sportbiketrackgear. 150~ cheaper too, but time will tell

 

I know they freed up weight in the exhaust department but dont think they actually changed the shape or anything. I believe the weight savings was purely internal. Should mount up just fine

 

HI guys and gals, just to let you all know i have just fitted my jardine, on my 09 and it fits, there is a new heat shield above the down pipe which makes it a little tight, but it does fit,

+1 for wanting to know if it weighs alot less than the stocker or not for the '09.... supposedly the '09 exhaust weighs less than before.

For those of you with 09s and thinking about getting the Jardine, I would wait a little while longer. I spoke with Troy who is the R&D manager at Jardine and the said that they need to redesign the exhaust slightly for 09.

 

Does that mean it will be available sooner (than early summer)??

 

I am also interested to know if any remapping is required. I am in a toss up between a Jardine and 2 Brothers but leaning more towards the Jardine.

I am coming from an SV1000 with dual D&D so I like loud and throaty. On the 675 it sounds like the Jardine is going to come the closest (though nothing will be that loud IMHO... lol)

2009 + Jardine = No fit due to extra heat shield which causes the pipe to rub with the swing arm

Has anyone managed to remove the heat shield + replace it?

 

I told Jardine I would let them use my bike for testing; they agreed but never called back.

 

i dont know the weight savings of the jardine for the 09 but on my 675 it was a full 9lbs savings over the tor slipon

Can't confirm any changes for 2009 Jardine model. Just remove the heat shield and it will work fine.

 

Yep, just did that today had to melt the heat shield off though as there is one bolt that looks a mission to get to, sawed it off (the bolt) then popped the head out and plugged the hole.

What was the second heat shield for?

 

I have no idea. My edumucated guess would be to prevent heat from the exhaust pipe that runs that direction from burning a leg. I read a couple threads were people complain about the heat coming from that area. Seems like the new shield is more of a pain in the ass than a welcomed addition.

Yea I thought the same, it didn't extend to the battery or other "important" areas, so thought it would just be rider comfort.

 

I have the Jardine on my '09, and it was weird to fit. The guy at the shop had to do some finagling, one of the bolts didn't line up (but the stock muffler frame still works and holds it in place just fine, and I don't have a heat shield (which is starting to SUCK since we're hitting 100 here daily now).
On the plus side, it sounds CRAZY good, sits straight, and generally makes the bike rock harder.
It wasn't TOO big a deal to get on. Just took some weasling.

 

My bike is going to Jardine for 2 weeks next week. They'll be making adjustments and putting out their own tune for the bike. Gonna be hard not having a bike for 2 weeks.
