I noticed that the triumph teams chose to run the 2012 675s for the daytona 200 and then started running the 2013 at road america. I kind of feel like they kicked themselves in the butt with that decision seeing as how most of the 2012s broke down anyway at daytona and now they are playing catch up with dialing in the new 2013s while yamaha just keeps running away with it (specifically beaubier).

Does anyone know why they decided to do this? It just seems like a bad idea.

I figure what they were trying to do was give the riders the winning bike to gain a points lead while they dial in the new bikes, but it just backfired.
