Wrist pain

Hello . Broke my scaphoid bone in left wrist last fall . Misdiagnosed for a month then went back to see hand specialist and had surgery a few days later to have pin put in. Started riding my ktm early spring and was a little sore picked up my D675 last weekend and have been riding it and my wrist starts hurting after 15 min . Has anybody else broken this bone ?

Wondering if riding with a wrist brace will help ?

Probably a combo of the wrist and a much more aggressive riding position. I'd wager you're putting your weight on your wrists, instead of gripping the tank with your legs and using your torso and back, and it is causing fatigue. Since the wrist was broken, it is probably causing pain faster than it normally would. (I know when I started riding, my wrists would get tired and start hurting after a couple hours.)

Try shifting your weight off of your wrists and see if that helps.

If not, maybe PM OfCounsel. He busted up his wrist pretty badly a couple years ago. Not sure if it was that exact bone, but he looked like an anatomy experiment for a while with all the pins and crap coming out of his wrist. He could probably offer some insight/tips/empathy.
So you havn't broken your scaphoid bone shalie74?
Watch it, ky364 or whatever your name was. We've been watching you from the instant you got around the IP ban and signed up again. The only reason you're still around is because you've been behaving; start up your old antics - and that includes harassing me in any way - and you'll be gone again in a heartbeat. And, given your history, I'm inclined to consider almost anything you post directed at me to be harassment.

Thanks for the reply . I have been trying to keep weight off of my wrist by using my legs and back .

More upright bars and maybe a set of grip puppies.

Yep, with the grip puppies you will no doubt get some funny looks from other sport bike rides but I swear by them. I'm a hundred years old and need all the help I can get.
Cut out some of the extra-curricular...uh...workout and you'll be fine.

Adjust the clip-ons higher and forward, check everything clears out, you'll feel a lot better.

I know your just helping, so hopefully you know when i'm just kidding and not taking it too far.
Beyond that, its your world Boss
I broke my left scaphoid in Dec, put in cast a few weeks later, cast came off in March. No pin/screw required, thankfully. At first it was a little painful because my wrist was stiff and weak as hell. Now though, I don't have any problems with discomfort in wrists. I did a track-day a month after cast came off, no pain in wrist. I've got Heli bars and Tech Spec grip pads too, so I'm sure those are a big help.
I had a class 3 separation in my shoulder last summer from a high speed cartwheel at the track.

When I was heeled up enough to get back on the bike, the pressure on my shoulder was just too much. The Helibars helped a good amount in the riding position. Of course, you have to be extra focused on your riding position also, the 675 has horrific ergo's for street use.
