Hello !

I'm a new Street triple owner from Montreal. Just bought a brand new 2014 Crystal white, and loving it ! I'm approaching 2000km in less than 2 weeks.

I had a ninja 650 before and it's a big step up on every level (brakes, suspension, engine, ...price ). I have not done a lot of modifications yet, I had the frame sliders installed by the dealer with the *free* promo kit (belly pan, fly screen, seat cowl).

Techspec tank grips are in their way and I received Soupy's lowering link but I am not sure anymore that I want to install it. I'm 5'1", so I'm on the tip of my toes, which I don't really mind for commuting since the bike is not heavy. But I have to get off the bike to reverse.. Sucks, but maybe less than having the handling of the bike affected.

I'm sure I'll learn a lot of things about the Street/Triumph on this forum

Little! Congrats on the new bike. That's awesome, glad it compares well to the Ninja, and, not sure how much the Soupy's lowering kit is gonna impact the suspension, but, glad you're tolerating the high seat well. Great bike & glad you're here. I referred a potential 'new' member to your recent seat height & weight thread, as he is also somewhat light @ 145Lbs... Plenty of good info in your thread to help him along as well...Welcome!

Hey everyone,

I work offshore but I just put a deposit down on a 2013 Striple. It was a demo with low miles and I feel I got a really good price on it! I come back on October 2nd and am making the drive to Texas to pick up the bike on the 4th! I can't wait!

Already ordered seat cowl, pipe, and some other goodies ;)

I am new to this forum, but I have been a member of TriumphRat for over a year. Bought my Street R on August 5th and have done some minor mods. Quick shifter is on its way. Still waiting on my Triumph value added accessories.

Another new New Yorker...

Moving from a FZ6 of the same year, just picked up a beautiful grey 2009 R ... the on-rails handling was the main deciding factor :biggrinjester:. Looking forward to some rides when it gets warm... although tomorrow IS 70 degrees F
