if you're using tune ecu to disable the flapper valve and you decide to remove all related components for the system on the bike (including the solenoid); do you still have to run a resistor on the harness? or will turning it off in tune ecu circumvent doing this and still have no check engine light?

...edit. oops, meant to post this in this thread:

Can't say for sure in TuneECU but I know in TuneBoy there is no way to turn off the flapper valve code for good. All I did was find any old resistor and push the ends into the plug that went on to the solenoide. Worx for me for two years now.

You can disable the Exhaust Valve in TuneECU 1.8.5 by unchecking the relevant box in Map Edit > Devices. Make sure to load the correct tune map first. Once you have unchecked the Exhaust Valve check-box, be sure to save the tune map (under a different file name) and download on to your bike's ECU.

To download the latest version of TuneECU go to: http://www.tomhamburg.net/

So when the EXBV-flapper is disabled via the tune, also the actuator won't make it's check up turns when you turn the ignition on (= no more squeaking)?
Will the flapper turn to an 100% open position and do I have to fear any loss in engine power?

Regards
