Alot of Both..............

And I am down the road from "you" if you are in Waldorf......LOL

I like your Track number.......LOL!!!

There is a serious group of riders we have down here that hooks up regularly for rides. Three of us are avid track riders/racers. The rides are pretty quick paced and all back woods down here through SoMd. I have a 540 mile tour that goes through Prince Georges, Charles, St.Marys, Calvert, and Anne Arundel. All back roads, deep country and minimal traffic. Its and all day deal and leaves you close to home and without the long ride back from our WVa rides which are also normally 500 plus miles round trip.

I dont race, just track days, so lap times are not race pace but with typical Advance group traffic. I manage to stay in the low 28's to high 29's as long as the group is moving well and my passes getting completed quickly.
At Summit Main I stay in the 16-18 range with traffic.........

I may get back into a few races this season again, its been since 09 since my last race.........and took a career based hiatus in 10 and 11 then built the 750 last spring and got back into the groove.

211's..........but really need to get a handle on my tire wear and suspension. And further more, my see-food diet. I am noramlly 185 at ride weight and have ballooned up to 215. Definately changes things.....LOL

I stopped riding street back in my last Race/TD stint in 04-09 but realized it actually hurt my performance.

You cant do enough TD's to constantly keep your skill set fresh. Think about how much track time racers put in. And add to that the learning process you going through.
I use to find myself constantly refamiliarizing myself with my bike for the first two or three sessions.

Then I started riding street again, and put together a nice 20 min loop (off Croom Rd) that I can get a nice paced lap in and my lap times continued to drop.

NO!!!
211's won't last on the street because you can't keep them hot and in their correct operating temp. They are dangerous when I even take my track bike down the street to let it run and charge the battery.

On my street bike I use the original Pilot Powers. With a 190/55 rear rather the stock 50. More rear ride height and bike feels awesome.
I have tried the 2ct and Pures and they wear to fast and really are not worth the money for street riding.

I love Dunlop track tires and I have tried them all........but when it comes to street I am not in to spending money for tires that I cant fully use on the street. I have used the Pilot Powers since they first came out. Single compound, awesome profile and CHEAP! And they get cheaper every time the come out with a new and improved LOL......
I go through three sets a year on my street bike and I ride them til the inner rubber core or cords show in the rear and front. And two rears to one front. So I guess thats a lil more than three sets.
My track tires I do the same, two rears to one front. And I run them smooth.......
You learn a lot running fast on old tires and there is nothing like a fresh set and first session on them.....I feel like SUPERMAN out there.....LOL

Have you riden the Maryland Point/Nanjemoy area????

Croom is nice, but the roads off of Croom and knowing how to link them up is AWESOME-NESS
Yeah I had a round through the area that I used to hit all the time. There is jump over a hill top in Hughesville. Trinity Church Rd, I think. I got like a foot air going about 120/130mph. There is a nascar banked turn near Breton Bay and one in Hughesville too. It's crazy you can make a whole day of riding these roads.

I would not run 211's until you were running mid pack Adv track day pace.

Waste of money.......
