time to update this as I haven't done it in awhile. I'm currently in egypt but when I get back I will be adding more to the race bike along with items i've already added such as a super bike race tail (i didn't take any pictures lol) a keyless race fuel cap (unbelievable how heavy the stock one is in comparassion) and a sunstar rear wave rotor. coming soon will be a daytona battery tray and overflow, ebc brake rotors, brembo master, sato shift spindle holder and a few more goodies.
I'll be putting all the parts on this evening well as many as i can. It looks like christmas in my house right now. Got the foam put on my superbike race tail last night. Its a little crooked but it was harder to cut the foam then i expected. I will get pictures up as I get things done. I'm still waiting on a steering stop block and captive spacers as they are being sent from the uk but i'm getting everything else done as i should be up at msrc on the twenty ninth with ride smart.
Ok so i need to get on my laptop to upload images now it seems because it keeps telling me I need to login while trying to do it from my phone. Anyway got all my goodies installed which consisted of ebc contour rotors c60 carbone lorain brake pads a brembo rcs 19 master a sato shift shaft support lightech chain adjusters an ses steering block foam for the super bike seat tail and captive wheel spacers. The bike feels so much different just riding up and down the street bedding the brakes in its rediculous. I'll be up at cresson on sunday riding with ridesmart hopefully so I should get some more video up soon and should get more pics up soon as well.?
Cool its a fantastic bike just got done riding at barber last weekend with it and had a blast. Planning on going to cresson this weekend and getting my race license this weekend.
Picture failed to upload from my phone as always bur got my license for racing finally and will be racing in novice superstock and superbike today. Wish me luck ya'll
I'm confused. So you took a Street Triple R, and turned it into a Daytona 675 with less HP to race it? I'm thinking it would have been cheaper and far less trouble to just buy a D675R. :noclue:
Kinda. Just the subframes and fairings. I bought the bike whole as salvage and went from there. Its what i could find at an affordable price with low miles on it.
Race report from the previous weekend. My first race i crashed out of. Was exiting the first corner rolled on the gas and the bike came out from under me faster than i knew what was happening. Broke the clipon on the right side and ground the right foot peg down. The second race i placed 16 riding with a tire with a worn out right side and half the right foot peg. Already got a new set of rubber on the bike and reassembled minus the foot peg frame slider and safety wire.
So i just got offered a spot on a mini endurance team for the rest of this season as well as next season. Should be fun and definitely help with seat time as its two half hours on the bike or one full hour. Next races are at the end of the month and i'm already ancy to get back on the race track.
Bought a yoyodyne slipper clutch to install on my bike for next race season which starts in february and planning on doing some painting when I get the chance. I'll get some pictures up of the before and after up now that my laptop is working again. I also got some sponsor ship from south central race center out of houston texas for this next year as well as my continuing sponsor ship with decal kits.com and bikesponsors.com
She's getting a new paint job which i'm almost done with along with some other goodies. Waiting on my jhs oil cooler to come in, installed my slipper clutch an alien motion li battery (courteousy of riders discount) a daytona battery tray and overflow, coolant flush and a set of bridgestone r 10s will go on the third of feb for my first track day
Posted pictures of my new paint scheme to photo bucket. Check them out. Also should have a new jhs racing oil cooler within the next few days and will be at msrh this weekend for a test and tune track day. Have to get my suspension sorted for my new tires.
Had races this last weekend. Did ok. Getting alot faster than i was. My results were 33rd 27th 26th and 23rd. All about right in the middle of everyone. Destroyed my rear tire one the left side but got faster and had fun. My goal by the end of the year is to finish top ten.
Sponsorship video watch it please
