Just changed oil and filter today. I added a total of 3 liters and ended up with the oil level about 3/4 between the two ribs in the hash-marked area. The level was checked after running the engine briefly and with the bike vertical but not on a paddock stand. Don't know why the discrepancy between the manual (2.6 liters with filter change) and everyone else's experience. Maybe the dipsticks are incorrect.

Here I thought it was just me...
I just did my oil and filter...put in exactly 2.6l and it was just about the low level mark...
I will be adding another 400 ml also to bring it to 3/4 like you

Called three dealerships and got quotes for the 675's years 06-08, they say they add four quarts, but once getting further in conversation with them, they actualy do 3.4 including filling the filter and run through all the gears, then check the level. after checking, add or remove accordingly, hope this helps!

I just ordered a 3 pack of K&N filters for my bike. I think it's time for an oil change. Now I wish I woulda bought more oil when I had the chance. I got 5 quarts of Mobil 1T a few years ago at a Walmart that was closing down in VA for like $4 each. There were I think two left when I left.

That was a random post but I needed to justify reading the two pages in this thread by saying something. Carry on.

I don't know who Manuel is, but I'm sure he doesn't appreciate you having a hold of him.

So much concern with the numbers. Buy four quarts, and fill the bitch to the appropriate line.
That reminds me of a George Lopez bit. "We don't need no owners manual, we got a guy named Manuel."
