I have a 2008 675 and was installing my new integrated tail light when my bike died. While trying to figure out which wire when where the gauges seemed to have gone out. I tried powering down, taking the battery out and popping the fuses. When i flip the switch to start my bike, the lights turn on but the gauges do not come up, also the bike does not do its pre-click.

I started the bike probably 5 mins before the gauges when out so I dont think that its the battery.

any advice?

Did you disconnect your battery BEFORE doing any work on the wiring? If not, you may have blown a fuse.
Yeah dude, were you wiring shit up with the battery connected?

Check your fuse panel in the driver's side infill and also check the 30A main underneath the riders seat right behind the gas tank.
