Rapid Customs - UK Tail Tidy

The prototype is finished and fitted, made from lightweight aluminium and anodised black, the tidy mounts to the rear passenger footpeg fixings for a cleaner look.

The tail tidy will be fitted with a 'Motrax' Mircro LED Numberplate light that can be wired through the drainage hole at the bottom of the underseat tray (located to the edge of the battery - No need to drill anything!).
The prototype is fitted with an 8 x 6" 'Bendy' numberplate (http://www.bike-plate.com/motorcycle-plate/flexible-motorbike-plate.html) to allow for clearance and provide flexibility in the plate should the wheel fowl it due to a deep bump in the road etc. though 9 x 7" Legal 'Bendy' plates are also available and will fit the tidy with less rear wheel clearance.

The complete tail tidy, anodised and including LED Numberplate light will be available for £55.00 excl. postage costs.

The prototype is currently a one off, a batch of 30 or 50 will be made up if enough people are interested in the design. As you can see from the pictures the tidy is mounted using a Triumph frame finisher kit, though it can also be mounted using the original passenger footpegs or standard nuts and bolts. At present the LED light needs to be connected to the wiring loom directly, or after removing the old bulb light and removing the wire at its rear, using the original electrical fixing to connect to the loom (should the standard fitting be available to purchase, the kit will be supplied with one wired to the LED light)
Feel free to comment or PM me with any questions or to express interest in purchasing any units.

Thanks

Just for research (and to check the tidy will fit all 675's) would members please measure the distance between the passenger footpeg mountings from the left to the right side on the frame.

The internal diameter required for the tidy is a minimum of 22cm with a couple of mm play. If the distance is any shorter than this then it will not fit, though I would assume all of the mounting points should be exactly the same for all bikes.

Thanks

To be fair im sure that the rear subframe is the same on the 09 so it should fit, though I need a few more people before I get these made up. Though I may consider an Ebay shop to try and sell the remaining tidys if i get a reasonable amount of interest. More pictures coming soon..

they go on the sub frame near where the heatshield mounts (closet to the seat) In the pictures you can see the indicators, above the number plate/hanger. Those are oxford nano indicators not standard obviously. Thats why they are tiny! but awesome.

Jim have a look at your bike tomorrow and compare it with the second picture in the first post. You should have two little brackets hanging off the rear subframe where the indicators in the picture are fitted. It wouldn't interfere with the exhaust at all. I think the brackets are there for the Street Triple, to mount the exhausts on.

Oh look a white boxer....

Im pretty sure that you have to lose the heat shielding to be able to mount your indicators on the subframe as it covers both of the points at which I mounted my indicators. I had to use adhesive heat shielding to replace what I removed though I have seen other bikes with trimmed down heat shielding.

Jim, not enough people are interested in the tidy at the moment so im currently trying to get the funds together to get one batch made up and sell them on here/ebay and hope I dont get left with aload of tail tidies that I cant sell. I will get a batch of 30 made and hope that I can get rid of a load of them without getting left too out of pocket as the prototype I have cost around £90 to make....
