So I spoke to Brandon the other day (Brancart) and he said that he wouldn't mind jumping in and lending a hand as a moderator either. He's a level headed guy and a pretty good friend of mine now so he's got my vote ;)

Sample of the thread I was going to create... but figured I'd ask you two admins before submitting your info for the world of 675.net bombards you with emails.

Hate all the spam that's been prevalent lately? Be a part of the solution...

Honestly, most of the current moderators are guys from the older days of 675.net. A lot of them are no longer here very often (me included) for one reason or another and now there are very few moderating the forums and regulating posts (spam, classifieds, etc...).

We're here to enlist some help from the huge 675.net member base.

That being said, there are certain qualifications in order for you to be considered as a mod.

1. You're not a dick. Doesn't matter how tech savvy you are, if you have a reputation on the forum for being a douche, a troll, abusing forum rules, etc... Then please don't waste our time.

2. You're somewhat tech savvy with the internets. You won't have to do anything complicated, but if posting pictures on the internet is a struggle for you... May want to skip moderating all together.

3. You visit the site frequently.

If you're interested in joining up as a moderator please contact our current forum admins

I like it, but you should also mention they must frequent the site often.

Uh oh... :indeed: If that's a requirement, I may need to be fired...

And, uh... that post sounds fine. We'll need to enlist either Heath or the verticalscope people to actually promote folks, though... unless you actually got your admin powers, Jousty? I'm pretty sure I never got mine.

It's all good, life and people change and I just gravitated away from the track game.
I can totally empathize.

Since buying the house in 12/09, the 'tona has seen maybe 3 track days - two with me on it, and one w/ the boyfriend. All three bikes got stuffed in the shed and forgotten about for about 1.5 years. No Stabil, half-full tanks... The boyfriend is slowly resurrecting them so he can ride them. He got the Sprint running, but the 'tona is being problematic.

And I... just kinda don't care. Got other stuff going on. Eventually other stuff'll go away, I hope, and bikes will be of interest again.

I'm right there with you all... Both of mine are gone... The street bike, in favor of a KTM 640 Adventure that I rode the TWAT on last year, and the track bike in favor of a Husqvarna TE 310 that I have been hitting single track trails with at the off road parks around here...

Having a blast...

Once you get fast enough at the track that you go through a freakin' set of slicks every weekend, that game gets really expensive. I was spending $1000 every weekend that I went to the track.

Plus, doing the doctorate degree, I just don't have time to travel to the fun tracks right now. In two more years, when I'm finished, I'll probably end up with another track bike... Maybe a Panigale!

Did verticalscope fail in their jobs again? to get admin working for john and sha?
God they suck at doing IT work, its a damn good thing they don't work for me or I would fire the whole damn crew.
I can write programs that can probably replace their dumb asses!

Anyway just let me know who to promote and I will give it a shot...

I wasn't aware that being psychic was part of my job.

Neither John or Sha have contacted me via PMs or emails in regards to having issues with their administrative powers.

Secondly, I'm not here to do IT work. We have a separate department for that. If there's a problem on the forum, someone should report it to me, and then I in turn report it to them.

John, Sha, you should be able to access admin settings for threads, users, and user permissions now, which is something Heath could have done for you as well...
