New Moderators

Guys, I think it's time someone picks out new moderators from the ever growing forum population. I'm not volunteering to do it by any means, I just figured I'd suggest it since it seems like there aren't many of the old OG mods hanging around anymore. I myself honestly don't have the love for this forum that I used to.

So there, it's been said... It's up to whoever maintains this site to make the decision:thumbup:

I don't see why not.

Hi Budo!!
Why not?

Of course, the question is... who? I really don't know who is who on the site anymore.
I think rather than picking people we know, like we have done before. Someone should post up a thread and ask for people to apply for the position. Some of the other, more disciplined forums I've frequented used that system.

Ask them to submit a short paragraph on why they (or a person they nominate) should be a moderator and cross check their posts. Of course if someone comes up with shitty postings like trolling or just being a dick, you can always not pick them.

Just based on helpful knowledge and length of stay on this forum I think Macbandit would be a good mod. But I honestly can't think of anybody else.
and...
Hey JOHN!! :D
Haha, suuuup. +1 for MacBandit, and +1 for an open thread if needed.
Yeah , sorry folks I have not been around lately. Except now I have some stuff to sell.
I don't know anyone here but you guys and gals...

The 675 is getting shipped to Florida on Monday to a new home and I will most likely not come here at all after that...

Replacing the 675 with a Husqvarna TE 310 and will be spending my time in the woods, not on the racetrack...

So, I don't really have a dog in this fight...

Replacing your bike with a chainsaw?! That's just sad. We don't have a lumberjack smiley, so I guess the Canadian one is the next closest thing: :canadian:

(and yes, i know that isn't really a chainsaw. ;)

Lawnmower?
I may end up cutting down some trees with her...

The owners of this site don't apparently have any concern in the matter...

Is cloud still here? Might as well let him have some fun with it...
so you guys and girls are still around then all be it only just i'm a fine one to talk as i don't visit very often these days. having got rid of the tiger 800 as it was'nt enough fun and replaced with a 2008 speed triple needless to say i'll end up in jail or dead in about 6 months as it's way too much fun now!

Congrats on your Speedie. I got eye surgery a few months ago, made riding a whole lot more comfortable and safer. Who'd have thought 2 eyes looking in the same direction could help so much!?! ;)
Anyways, since then I've grown even fonder of my Speedie, I enjoy a spin on Kat's 675 now and then but riding the torque wave of the big 1050 is so much fun. :D
My 675 goes on consignment probably this Saturday. Anyone want a Jardine pipe? Or a 675? :)
Congrats to you also Jeff on a sweet new ride.

Chippp!! You selling the 675? Tsk tsk. Where is she at? Eurosport?

She will be at Eurosports yes. The 675 has not moved under it's own power in almost 3 years. As much as my heart says keep it, my head says sell it.
Not like I don't have another great bike sitting waiting for me. :cool2:
All this talk about selling bikes is making me consider the unthinkable... My r/r quit on me again a month ago but I haven't had the chance to fix it due to work. After it's fixed I'm considering selling her and picking up a DRZ to get back into some dirty riding. I also need to start training for a TAT run in the future...

Chip, where are we on that? :p

We're a couple years away.
I'd love to do it some day, just have a slightly different path to take these days......actually need to get shit done in the house. I even picked up a paint brush a few weeks ago, my body is still recovering from the shock of the situation.
No worries dude... I don't think I'll be good to go next year anyway ;).

Just don't wait til you're too old... LOL
That sucks.. both of you. Whats the price on your 675 Chip?
