Hello all. Just thought I'd pop in here, since I picked up a black 2008 Street Triple 675 last Saturday at Falcone Powersports.
This is my third bike since I started riding in 1989, but I haven't really ridden at all since 1999. That's when I totaled my 1992 Suzuki Katana 750 with my wife on the back. (Blind curve on a 2-lane road, van stopped in my lane on the exit of the curve, cars in the oncoming lane, trees to my right. Nothing to do but hit the brakes, and I didn't quite get stopped before hitting the van's rear bumper squarely with my front tire.) I walked away, but my wife tore her ACL and her shoulder popped out. We both could have been much worse off... Thank God for full-face helmets, leather jackets, gloves, and boots.
Anyway, I figured now that I'm well past the 10-year anniversary of the accident, it would be safe to plead for a new bike. My wife reluctantly agreed.
