Hi from Australia.

Anyone here use The M7RR's? I just went from the Sportec M5's to the M7's and have noticed dramatic improvement in grip, although I'm still wearing them in. The climate here is generally quite warm, but I'm keen to hear how they are in other climates?

hi,
I have recently bought a pair of M7RR for my street triple, and have rode the bike with warm & dry weather, great feeling/feedback and grip. Also rode the bike under heavy rain, wet roads with colder temperatures and was amazed how much confidence those tires were providing, almost like riding with track rain tires (just a little less grip though, as track rain tires are designed for rain only and deteriorate quickly when the track dries). I only experienced a couple slides from the rear when accelerating really brutally, didn't had any slides from the front, I was so impressed by the grip that I had to calm myself down and stop trying to find the limit (didn't want to be riding like a maniac on wet roads).
The M7RR are really great tires, I used to be riding Dunlop SportSmart before, and felt the Dunlop offer much less grip on wet roads.

I came from SportSmarts to M7 RRs too. Is it your impression too that the Sportsmarts needed to be ridden somewhat hard to heat up and then still would take a while before they offered decent grip?

Ive got 3,000 miles on my M7's now. Overall im impressed. Very curious to see how much longer i can go before seeing a metal belt like i did on the stock diablo at 4500 miles. The M7's are barely touching the center wear bar but sides have plenty life. Grip seems good. Ive only slid the back once and it was on some thin gravel. Not sure how it does in the rain sine i only ride when its try. I know this is the best all around tire out there for someone who may ride in all kinda of weather but for me only hitting the twisties on the weekend when its sunny, ill be switching to Q3's. Still though this is a great tire. Ive been running 32/30 for better grip. Ran 34/36 mostly but went down recently in pressure.

Well the q3's are now on my st3. The M7's lasted exactly 3500 miles. The center wear bar was completely gone and a few chunks came out. Im guessing the belt was about to show. Overall its an ok tire. The grip was good, ride wasnt rigid like the q3 (rigid is good though), and they didnt last longer than the diablos. My goal was to outlast the oem tires and they didnt by 1000 miles. Cant say anything about rain. I have no idea.

I've put 3000 miles on the M7 rrs. Great tire. Rode in cold winter (well down to 40F) no problem. Rode in rain. No problem. Very flickable and sticky. Great feel. I like them better for a street tire than the OEM super corsa sp. Very happy. Still plenty of tread. Not squaring. Would buy again
