There's no definate date when they changed. I have 09 customers with both M6 & M8. Fingers crossed you have the stronger M8 ones. Maybe a quick call to the dealers to ask them to take a look for you.
Thanks SiW. Didn't realise you were on here AND the UK forums :)

I pick the bike up on Saturday so I guess I can measure then... its got the old gauges so fingers crossed it has M8 ones.

I checked out some suppliers sites and it looks as if the m8 came in 2010. So there would also be a change over period so I guess to look would be the only way.

I have a 2010 street and it uses the 6mm so perhaps they are diff from the tona

I've done a lot of photoshoots with girls drapped over the bike using the M6 bobbins. So long as they are kept tight they are fine. They only cause problems when crashed and then bend making a mess of the swinging arm mounting. As paddock stands mounst they are fine. As crash protection forget it, use axle protectors instead.
