This is a bit of a long shot but I figured it couldn't hurt to ask.

I have a chance to ride the Circuit of the Americas coming up, and I'm thinking that it might be a bit more fun on either a supersport or superbike rather than my 250 due to the number of straights. I'm not even positive I'm doing it at this point, but I wanted to explore my options to see if anyone would be willing to work out a deal where I could rent a track bike for a couple of days in September.

Interesting proposal. Would be not so great if you wadded up someone's pride and joy on the race track though.

Haha yeah, hence the longshot.

I'd obviously work out details with someone that'd be willing to do it where in the event of a crash I'd take care of everything. That's why I'm looking for someone generous with a track bike. I let anyone ride my track bike since to me it's just a tool for enjoyment.

It's towards the end of Sept (The event is currently unannounced so I didn't want to post specifics at the moment!). I appreciate the gesture but I'm hoping I could find someone local. I'm still not sure if I could afford the event but it's more likely to be do-able if I can fly there rather than drive all the way.

I'm just searching that way if I can't go I can say "well at least I tried," haha.

Haha the 20 hour drive is the bigger issue for me, I couldn't get off the extra couple days I'd need to drive down there.

You just need a turbo, it would make the drive more fun hahaha
