I was planning on it.......until a ruptured colon sent me to the ER for an emergency operation on the 1st. Probably wont be in the saddle for another few weeks, if not month(s). :-/
And I just mounted my new saddlemen seat too and was hoping to try it out.
You guys have fun. I went last year and was surprised how huge that event was.
And that thing is as much a music event as it is a motorcycle event which is great when you have seen all the Harley's and black leather fringe chaps vendors you can stand and want to just sit and chill to some good music. lol

One way it happens is you get diverticulitis and one of the infected pockets bursts. That's how all the cool people do it anyway. lol
I suppose it could happen from a gun shot wound or even a auto accident if you got impaled with something. Almost everyone develops pockets in the colon (diverticulosis) but when food get trapped in there and gets infected it becomes diverticulitis.
I can no longer eat food that doesn't digest like corn, strawberry seeds, peanuts, popcorn, etc. because they get trapped in the pockets and don't digest.
Ive always had kind if a tender stomach but that night i had extreme pain in the stomach and some vomiting. I knew I couldn't afford a big hospital bill so I waited til Monday to go to the doctor. Big mistake! A ruptured colon has been known to kill people fairly quick without surgery. All the doctors and nurses said how lucky I was to be alive.
Doctor said yesterday that I got this stupid boat anchor they call a wound vac on me for another three weeks at least. I'm going to try yo see if the hose is long enough for me to throw it in my Kreiga backpack so I can ride when I feel a little better. Lol
Have fun and give a report on how it went.

Mother of God... You could have spared me the details, LOL but I guess I did ask for it. I thought the bout of dysentery I had Iraq was bad but it sounds like I got off easy. I hope you have a quick recovery bud and your back on the bike soon. Ill have a trip report up after we recover from what Im sure will be a very evenful weekend.

Side note: How do ya like the Kreiga? Which model is it?

Kreiga is a R25 and I like it a lot. Very comfortable. Almost forget you're wearing it.
I modded it to take a camelback in the main compartment next to your back (where it should be) by putting a Powerlet pass through luggage port at the top. Just bought another for my wife and did the same thing to it. I drink lots of water during the summer.
I also have a 10L bag so I just keep it in the pack and put my camelback in it for added insulation. If I ever need to haul something back home I have it handy.

Man that would be great to meet you all up there for sure... But... I am out of the country on vacation so it just won't happen. While there together... why don't we pick another date for something similar or nothing and just meet up for breakfast or lunch or something...

Enjoy all that go and best wishes to the man with Holy colon.... Cheers!
