As some you already know I took a pretty good spill last weekend http://www.triumph675.net/forum/showthread.php?t=49404and I'm currently working on replacing the damaged parts. My last big ticket item is a new cockpit fairing and I've found out that they are damn expensive, Like $450.00! I'm not willing to pay that much just yet so I'm going to give Hong Kong via Ebay a shot http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ABS-Top-Upper-Fairing-Triumph-Daytona-675-06-08-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem3f02168874QQitemZ270617970804QQptZMotorcyclesQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories#ht_5222wt_995. The price and shipping is very reasonable so I really don't have much to lose here. I'll be ordering sometime in the next few weeks and I'll let you guys know how it turns out. until then...

i dont know anything about those. but i used nicecycles.com when i redid my cbr. all parts came in perfect with what paint i wanted and all. they were abs. the only thing i found bad about them is they say there in the states but the boxes came from china. the full fairing kit is 800 for ours, so you may want to contact them to check them to. they were a perfect fit on the cbr. but either way want to see your write up on these.

Oh yeah I'm well aware that the stuff is coming from China but guess what, the stock fairings are almost certainly made in China too haha. You can get a complete set of body work for about $360 + $300 shipping, still WAAAY cheaper than OEM!

EEP ive heard terrible things about those. another member said it was definitely a no go, especially when trying to use other stock fairings with it.

I'd say save yourself the hassle IMO....it's not worth the headache. But to each their own!

Yeah I just don't want to deal with the whole painting situation. I am eventually going to get some Catalyst bodywork, but in race trim.
i know the colors for the china ebay ones are usually a bit off from OEM. i know scorched yellow is way off and looks almost like gold flake.

If you're interested in Scorched Yellow I have been thinking of changing colors. The upper, front fender and both side fairings are near perfect. The tail has a quarter size rash on the right side and the tank has the same quarter size ding. I'm in San Diego too.
