No-no. They ran the plates but it turned up some old man with a truck. That plate number here in AZ hasn't been registered since 2003 so it has to be out of state plates or someone stole this guys plates and he doesn't know it...or does he!!! Still working it...
Yeah, if he's military 99/100 he's got out of state plates. That complicates things a bit unless you have some MP friends...

There are ways to find out where this asshole resides.....since you have the plate number, just dig out the info. Then plan your revenge. DOT brake fluid comes to mind....for some reason, it EATS paint. So if one were to pour a bottle on someones paint....:1boink: ......not saying you should do anything like that....use the info at your own risk...(insert no fault fine print here)

1. Do not waste your time pursuing personal revenge. It might work; more likely, you’ll wind-up getting caught and serving time. Fantasies of revenge are for adolescents. Do the real work that needs to be done. There’s a madman out there who’s a lethal hazard to every bike rider.

2. Document the event in writing. Don’t fulminate. Be factual and unemotional. Get every fact down you can remember. Have someone you trust proof-read your documentation. Get it right. Mistakes and inconsistencies will give the authorities reason to stall.

3. Document the fact that the police are not willing to pursue this case. Get names and badge numbers.

4. Make an appointment with the DA’s office. Present your documentation there. Tell the DA you want to file a complaint, viz, Assault with a Deadly Weapon. See if they can explain why this assault doesn’t fit the definition of this statute: 2005 Arizona Code - Revised Statutes §13-1204 Aggravated Assault.

5. Document your conversation with the DA. Names, phone numbers, address of office, date and time of meeting. Bring a reliable witness -- someone who can take notes or record the conversation, someone who can testify later if need be.

And thank you for doing this work. If you don’t force the authorities to find this madman, he’s gonna find someone else to kill. I’d rather it weren’t me.

Long story short, I had a guy try to run me off the road because "lane splitting is illegal". I'm in California, where it's perfectly legal. He took it upon his hands to enact some sort of vigilantly justice for an imaginary crime by attempting to run me over with a Ford Taurus.

I wanted to follow him home and beat the shit out of him in front of his wife and kids I was so livid. Show em what a tough guy they had on their hands when it came man to man. I ended up doing the smart thing. I won't necessarily say the "right" thing, just the smart thing.

I told him if I ever saw him driving again I'd drag him out through his window and "saw his fucking head off in front of traffic". At the time, I was angry enough to mean it. Needless to say, I think he'll be treating motorcyclists with a little more respect from now on.

To alot of drivers, us riders are just faceless machines pre-bundled with every shitty stereotype they've conjured through bad examples or ignorant imaginations. Hopefully upon retrospect he now realizes the potential gravity of his actions.

No updates. I go back to that moment every once in a while just to remind myself of how lucky I am. It's still scary and makes me angry every time I think of it.

This is probably the only time I will wish harm and even as extreme as death on someone!

I was coming home from work and got on the on I10. Nothing crazy just keeping up with traffic and got on the highway with no issues. I signal to get into the left lane and check my mirrors and make my way through. I went for another mile when I see lights pull up to the right of me real fast; he almost hits the car directly next to me. A half a mile later I feel this jolt surging my bike forward, the front tire squirms, I KEEP THE BIKE UP AT 75mph, and all I see are bright lights in my mirrors! I'm freaked! "Did I just get hit?" I brace myself again because I don't know what to expect. The car then pulls up next to me and the guy looks at me, points at me and then nods his head mouthing the words "Yeah, yeah!" I look at him and wave my left arm in disbelief. He then takes off cutting people off. I manage to get his license plates and type car. Another car saw the whole thing and as I get to the left lane to slow down he pulls up next to me and starts waving his hands as though he saw the whole thing. He nods his head as I nod my head and I signal him to get on his phone. I pull over and get on my phone and call Highway Patrol. They haven't found the guy and no other calls were made about the incident so I'm pretty much shit out of luck! There is no damage to my bike other than the fucktard leaving scratches and paint on my tires. The cops said since there's no "real" damage that they won't write a report but I can write one later if I find something wrong with my bike later.

Needless to say I'm pissed! This fucker could have killed me. There were cars behind me and had I not kept the bike up I don't think I would be typing this up now! Like I said in the beginning, this will be the first time I ever wish someone dead. I have a family! A wife and three kids and for some cowardly bitch to almost rob my family of their husband and daddy pisses me off to the point of wishing him dead!

Trust me, I will never forget this guys face or his car and plates! White male, 25-30 years, silver Acura sedan (might be the TL series), plate number 760 CKE. I don't know what state but it was a white background on the plates. I'm pissed to the point to where I can't stop shaking and my stomach feels like a ball of knots.

Thanks guys/gals for listening to my story and I pray that you guys stay safe wherever you guys go and (lesson learned for me) be vigilant even with cars behind you.
1. a friend of mine would carry a .38 under his jacket for life threatening situations.
2. You need to get a Harley and carry a Buck knife, with a large chain wrapped around the bike, with colors on your levis jacket.
3.have a video camera on the helmet or bike, too record those instances. then you can go to the police later and file a criminal charge

he might have been having a very bad day. maybe a motorcyclist cut him off and gave him the Finger. you just can't second guess motorists at times. i agree you should pursue it. Lucky to be alive, it could have been much worse. It is like have a Uzi pointed at you, but worse. Sort of like getting pistol whipped. You are very fortunate. Good riding skills.

if the letters were somewhat large, and black, and the background was white on the plate that sounds like european plates. I was stationed in Germany, and when returned to the states had the option of keeping my euro plates on for 30 days. Good luck in finding the asshole, the plate describe sounds like a european plate, which means he is most definitly military. Seeing as how you said theres a base nearby.... makes sense.

sounds like some kind of road rage, even though there wasnt an accident, i figure that would still fall under some kind of assault (with a weapon/vehicle) and fleeing the scene of an accident. when i was in college, i interned at enterprise. my first week, i get rear ended by an older gentleman at a stop light who simply let his foot off the brake. i still had to get a report because of liability issues even though there wasnt any damage. the cop was so mad, he wrote me a ticket for no insurance even after i showed him our self insurance certificate and my personal insurance card! crazy.

My girlfriends father told me motorcycles dont belong on the road & if he saw someone splitting lanes he would squeeze them or open door. I told him that I will not visit him in jail!
This was in front of our teenage kids that are learning too drive! Luckily they know dad rides & are vigilant about seeing bikes.
