2015 Street Triple - 28,000km.

I've been trying to figure this one out for a while now. When accelerating at normal pace my bike seems to have a slight hesitation around 4,000rpm (in any gear). If I hover around 4,000 I can sort of (ever so slightly) feel a slight hesitation. It's very minor but it bothers me (as does the damn rattle/ticking sounds).

If I'm on the throttle hard I don't feel anything at all.

Recent work done (last season):

• valve adjustment at 20,000km (all exhaust valves re-shimmed)
• new spark plugs & air filter
• balance throttle bodies via DealerTool
• Ran TuneECU adaptation thing
• New chain and sprockets (issue was present before new chain + sprockets)

Would a stretched cam chain cause this? Why only at around 4,000 rpm?

Appreciate any tips/help.

Disconnect fuel line @ tank and connect the gauge w/ hose to the tank and turn on ignition…should show pump pressure

It sounds like a tuning issue. The bikes are very lean around 4-5k to pass emissions testing. Run it up on a dyno and inspect the a/f ratio.

I felt like my bike had the same thing. I just finished my 12,000 mile maintenance and it's gone. My throttle bodies needed a slight adjustment and my exhaust valve shim gaps were all off.
