Hi
Investigating / fixing a significant oil leak from the tip of the crankcase. Most likely from a cracked oil pressure switch. But also pooling below the starter so I took that out and ordered The O-ring as well.
Parts on the way.

Was taking another look today and I saw this bolt / cover just below the breather cover. It had dried up oil residue all around it. So I'm wondering if it could be the source of the leak.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

That's the blanking plug for the speedometer sensor, since your bike reads speed from the ABS pulse rings.

Thanks!

Is it possible that it's the source of the leak?
Hasn't been touched before.

Doubtful if you've never touched it. Take it out and inspect the o-ring. If it looks OK, put it back in with a smear of black RTV silicone sealant.

Great
That's what I wanted to know
Didn't wanna take it out without knowing what it was.
Tried to find something in the service manual with no luck.
Last question: any idea about the torque spec?

Thanks a bunch!
