Hey all I have a question about dash compatibility on the gen 2 Daytonas and I’m hoping someone has experience here.
I’m aware that triumph locks dash’s to specific VIN ranges and it can be a bit of a nightmare finding one second hand which will fit any particular bike’s ECU. Not ideal as I have a crack in my OEM screen and it’s really annoying me to look at!

I’d be happy to simply replace the cracked screen part but as it’s a sealed unit with no spare parts it looks like a huge faff, the one video online I saw was someone fabbing their own replacement which is something I would struggle with.

so I’d either have to be incredibly lucky finding one for my vin range online, be lucky and find the expensive t3 HM one (seems a little overkill for street-only use) or what I’m hoping will work- fit an aftermarket ‘tablet style’ dash from Amazon or similar-

My question is essentially whether or not these will work as a direct replacement, has anyone tried installing anything like this before and will it end up being more trouble than it’s worth?

If I’m going to have to replace the cracked one I may as well get something I like. I much prefer the modern tablet-style look digital dash’s so I’m hoping that it’s as simple as unplugging the old one and plugging and mounting the new one but my experience with these bikes tells me it probably won’t be so simple 😂

TIA!
